De meest voorkomende manier van transport in Sri Lanka is via een driewielige auto die toepasselijk wordt aangeduid als Tuk-Tuk's vanwege het geluid van hun motoren. Als u niet in een TUK TUK bent geweest, hebt u Sri Lanka niet bezocht. De beste en leukste manier om door de drukke straten van Colombo te kruipen. Je wordt opgehaald door het voertuig in Port of je hotel in Colombo en dan start je de TUK TUK-rit door de drukke straten van Colombo (ca. 30 - 45 minuten). Daarna wordt u teruggebracht naar het voertuig met airconditioning met de chauffeurgids voor de rest van de tour, inclusief het bezoeken van Colombo-attracties zoals de woonwijk en gebieden van historische betekenis; Cinnamon Gardens, Old Parliament, Victoria Park, Town Hall, Jamiul Alfar Mosque en de Gangaramaya-tempel

Ontmoet & begroet uw professionele gids in de haven van Colombo of uw hotel in Colombo en verken de drukke stedelijke commerciële stad Colombo De kerk werd gebouwd in de Dorische stijl van de periode, in de vorm van een Grieks kruis met muren van bijna 1,5 meter dik, gebouwd van ongewoon grote kabok (klei-ijzersteen) met koraal en kalkpleister en dit was een van de laatste Nederlandse Protential Church nog steeds in gebruik in het land
Ga verder aan boord van je gemotoriseerde rit terwijl je de bezienswaardigheden van de stad bekijkt, zoals de haven van Colombo, de Fort Clock Tower, de vuurtoren van Colombo en het huis van de president. Passeer vervolgens Chatham Street, een nu trendy gebied dat vanwege de burgeroorlog in Sri Lanka vele jaren verboden was. Ga van daar naar Pettah, een wijk in Colombo die bekend staat om zijn gevarieerde aanbod aan marktkramen en de Rode Moskee. Stop 20 tot 30 minuten om wat snacks op straat te kopen of koopjes te kopen.
Ga naast Sri Kaileshwarm Kovil (Captain's Garden Hindu Temple), de belangrijkste aanbiddingsplaats voor inwoners van Colombo, en ga dan verder naar Independence Square, de locatie waar Sri Lanka in 1948 zijn onafhankelijkheid van het Britse bewind verkondigde.
Ga naar een theefabriek waar je de ervaring van pure Ceylon-thee kunt ervaren door het te proeven (chocolade, vanille, aardbei), waaronder zeer beroemde smaken
Maak de laatste stop van de dag in de Gangaramaya-tempel, een van de belangrijkste boeddhistische tempels in Colombo. Verken de architectuur en schilderijen van deze religieuze plek voordat je de straat oversteekt naar Bera Lake, waar je meer kunt leren over enkele van de hedendaagse problemen zoals vervuiling waarmee stadsbewoners worden geconfronteerd. Eindig de reis met een drop-off terug naar je oorspronkelijke startpunt. It was such a great experience of spending our holiday with kingfisher tours. Thank you kingfishers for giving us this wonderful experiece and making us enjoy our holiday. When we visited colombo, we went to the gamgarama temple which was one of the beautiful places with the lake and theemre so many other places to visit in colombo as well. I thoroughly enjoyed this tour! It was perfect for seeing Colombo. The tour guide Aswar was friendly and provided an experience that will last for a lifetime. He gave a lot of history and cultural context and I was able to see many sights. I was able to try a Sri Lankan beer and was gifted with packaged tea from various parts of Sri Lanka. So cool and unexpected! I would recommend this tour to anyone. The Tuk Tuk experience is one everyone should have. Glad I did it.

The Colombo city tour was a good way of learning about Colombo Great tour guide gave good information and was friendly and kind.
