Reis met een local die van hun huis houdt en het aan je wil laten zien en je de best mogelijke ervaring wil geven. Het landschap en de natuur van de Falklandeilanden blijven ons de adem benemen, bezoekers worden weggeblazen door wat ze zien en ervaren. Om je pinguïnfix te krijgen, gaan we rechtstreeks naar de pinguïns bij Gypsy Cove en Yorke Bay. Op deze twee locaties zie je 3 van de 5 pinguïnsoorten die de Falklands te bieden heeft! Wij verzorgen huisgemaakte lunches & snacks verpakt in ongebleekte composteerbare verpakkingen. Onze favoriete plek om te genieten van het eten en drinken is bij de vuurtoren met het prachtige uitzicht. We eten binnen/buiten het voertuig (afhankelijk van het weer). Reis 20 minuten buiten Stanley om het typische Falklands-landschap te zien. Maak een rondleiding door Stanley met een lokale bewoner en ontdek hoe het is om hier te wonen. Voor elke boeking wordt een boom geplant. Onze 4x4-voertuigen bieden comfortabel plaats aan 4 passagiers.

Ezels- en koningspinguïns op prachtige witte zandstranden. Ervaar wandelen langs het strand of door de hoge zandduinen. Mogelijkheid om ook dolfijnen te kijken
De 18 meter hoge vuurtoren, gebouwd in 1855, bevindt zich op het meest oostelijke punt van de Falklandeilanden. Jarenlang was de vuurtoren de meest zuidelijk bemande vuurtoren ter wereld Als u geluk heeft, kunt u dolfijnen, slechtvalken en walvissen spotten. Onze favoriete plek om te genieten van een lunchplek weg van anderen.
De driemaster bark Lady Elizabeth (Liz), gebouwd in Sunderland in 1879, is nu een indrukwekkend scheepswrak in de haven van Stanley. In 1913 liep ze schade op tijdens het ronden van Kaap Hoorn. Op weg naar de haven van Stanley raakte ze de Uranie Rock die verdere schade aanrichtte, waaronder een gat in haar romp. Na inspectie werd ze veroordeeld en als niet zeewaardig verklaard. Ze werd gebruikt als opslagplaats voordat ze haar ligplaatsen in een storm in 1936 brak en afdreef naar haar huidige locatie. Honderdduizenden prachtige foto's van haar zijn door de jaren heen gemaakt. Haar achtergrond is de haven van Stanley, Stanley en een aantal bergen. Als het tij erg laag is, is het mogelijk om het zand op te lopen en haar aan te raken.
Reis vanuit Stanley om de wilde en ruige schoonheid van de Falklandeilanden in je op te nemen. Grote luchten, de zee, bergen en onze unieke steenafdalingen (ook wel steenrivieren genoemd). Zie waar enkele van de meest hevige veldslagen van het Falkland-conflict in 1982 plaatsvonden tussen de Britse en Argentijnse troepen. Krijg een idee van het terrein waar de Britse strijdkrachten 80 kilometer over joegen om te vechten en de bevolking van de Falklandeilanden te bevrijden.
Kijk rond in de hoofdstad Stanley. Bekijk de belangrijkste bezienswaardigheden: Christ Church Cathedral, Whalebone Arch, Liberation Monument, Margaret Thatcher buste, Battle of the Falklands Monument, Government House (officiële residentie van de vertegenwoordiger van de koning), verzameling walvisbotten. If you want a true experience of the Falklands, book this tour. Everything was arranged to perfection from the pick up, to the various stops, to the lovely lunch picnic that my family won’t forget!
We had a lovely tour with Carla. We were treated like old friends. Carla took us to several spots. We saw three different kinds of penguins and found a spot by the lighthouse where we saw 2 sea lions. Carla answered a lot of questions for us. We had sandwiches in the car and delicious rhubarb bars. We thoroughly enjoyed our tour!

The tour covered most of the highlights in Port Stanley. Especially thrilled by the unexpected sightings of 4 seals on cape pembroke where we had a picnic lunch, when we got our first tasting of the rhubarb cake. The guides also took us to an extra stop to see the king penguins. We got to see lots of gentou penguins in the lovely Yorke bay, got a chance to hike near gypsy cove where we saw more gentou and Magellan penguins.

This is the best tour we have ever taken in our lives. Mike is an amazing human being. He is a great ambassador for his country, and his love and knowledge of his land are evident. My 4 and 7-year-old daughters enjoyed this experience immensely. The sandwiches and details were exquisite. This is a must-do tour, done with a lot of heart and love. Paul our driver was fantastic . He was very knowledgeable about Stanley island and very personable. He drove us over the island and through the town. He brought with him homemade sandwiches and drink and it was very good. We enjoyed getting to know Stanley and Paul and the excursion was fantastic.
