Voor zowel kenners als amateurs is er geen betere manier om de beroemde Chianti-wijngaarden te verkennen en de drankjes van wereldklasse te proeven waar het gebied zo bekend om staat dan tijdens een privé-wijntour. Onze eerste stop van de dag is bij een prachtige wijnmakerij die toebehoort aan een van onze prestigieuze Italiaanse aristocratische families. Hier proeven we drie wijnen gecombineerd met salumi (vleeswaren) - maar eerst is er een fascinerende rondleiding door de historische kelders en de olijfmolen, die we zullen bereiken via ondergrondse tunnels die onder de villa door lopen
Zet u nu vast en bereid u voor op off-road rijden door oude bossen en glooiende heuvels. Spring aan boord van het 4x4-voertuig en geniet van het prachtige landschap, van de cipressen tot de rustieke boerderijen en kerken, terwijl we onze weg banen naar Rignana, een typisch Toscaans restaurant en wijnmakerij met een prachtig uitzicht. Bereid je smaakpapillen voor op een lunch met heerlijk eten en rode wijn (en een blinde olijfolieproeverij). Je wilt niet meer weg!
Het avontuur gaat verder terwijl we onze rit door het ongelooflijke landschap voortzetten op weg naar onze laatste stop van de dag. Hier krijg je een rondleiding door de indrukwekkende villa en hoor je over enkele ongelooflijke gebeurtenissen die hier de afgelopen 600 jaar hebben plaatsgevonden en over de beroemde families die hier hebben gewoond. Er is tijd om te ontspannen en rond te lopen op het prachtige terrein, genietend van de unieke schoonheid en uitzichten, terwijl u meer leert over wijn voordat u gaat zitten voor de laatste proeverij van drie wijnen gecombineerd met kaas. De perfecte afsluiting van een werkelijk onvergetelijke dag.

This was a terrific experience if you want to visit a beautiful winery, have a scenic drive throughout Tuscany followed by a delicious lunch. Our guide Sarah was outstanding--she was knowledgeable in every way!!!

We didn’t have a car, but wanted a day out of the city during our weeklong stay in Florence. This tour was perfect. We were about a dozen people, hosted by a very attentive and helpful guide, her name was Oz. We were driven to a gorgeous historic villa, where a wealthy family makes wine and opens their home and production facilities to small groups like ours. We enjoyed a wine tasting after visiting the grounds and cellar, then were driven through the gorgeous Tuscan hills to a country restaurant with views to die for. More delicious Chianti, followed by a family style meal served in one of the most beautiful locations ever. If I’m being super picky, I’d say the food there was not “wow”, but everything other aspect of this tour was so good that it didn’t really matter. It was simply a lovely day and very much recommended.
The best time ever. We would recommend this to anyone traveling to Italy. Our tour guide Fabian was incredible and so knowledgeable about the city, wineries and history.

We took the Wine Safari and it was amazing!!! Our guide Sara was the most wonderful guide we have ever had. She knows a lot about wines and loved everything we learned from her. She is funny and very helpful. The tour gets you to wonderful wineries and we had lovely lunch in one of them. Fabio our chofer was wonderful too. This tour I recommend a lot. You see the Italian country side which is incredibly beautiful. Loved everything!!!!

Alex took us into the countryside to two amazing wineries. We had an incredible lunch at the first. Both places were welcoming and informative. We had a great time on this tour. We received a great education on winemaking and the production of olive oil. The wines and the food were excellent. Our guide, Fabio, was the best -- full of humor, but also insightful and knowledgeable. Easily the best wine tour I've ever done.

Hands down the best thing we did on our honeymoon to Florence! Fabi our guide was cheeky and fun, but super knowledgeable on all things wine and Florence. The 3 wineries we stopped at (2 for tasting, 1 for lunch ... and wine) were gorgeous, historic, and had the best wine I've ever had. I would do this entire day again if I could... it was perfect. We also did another winery tour through a different company on a different day and it did not even come close to as good of an experience we had with WalkAbout's Safari tour. Do yourself a favor, book through WalkAbout, they're professional, kind, and make the entire experience easy and enjoyable.
