Osaka is een bruisende stad boordevol 'grote stad'-dingen om te doen, maar er is ook een andere kant aan. Deze tour voert je van je hotel naar opmerkelijke tempels, een historische uitgaanswijk, tuinen en de beroemde "kofun" -graven in Osaka en ten zuiden van Sakai City, allemaal in een privéluxe. Uw inheemse of gelijkwaardige Engelssprekende chauffeur / gids zorgt ervoor dat de reis licht en leuk is, en houdt het tegelijkertijd intellectueel stimulerend en informatief op een goed afgeronde, toegankelijke manier. Omdat dit een privétour is, zijn discussies over wijzigingen in de reisroute welkom! Afhankelijk van uw verzoek kunnen er extra kosten van toepassing zijn.

We lopen het terrein recht omhoog naar het kasteel, maar gaan niet het gebouw zelf binnen (we vinden het nogal teleurstellend van binnen, maar de buitenkant is geweldig!). Het bolwerk van Osaka, deze imposante structuur en mooie omliggende terreinen zijn een must voor elke bezoeker van Osaka.
Naar verluidt de oudste boeddhistische tempel van Japan, de gebouwen, gronden en verhalen zullen boeien en imponeren. Als ze open zijn (ze zijn een beetje wispelturig), bekijken we ook hun mooie Japanse tuin (300 yen per volwassene extra).
Een knaller van een oudere uitgaanswijk, we zien enkele van de meest emblematische bezienswaardigheden van Osaka op onze walkabout.
Dit shintoschrijn zorgt voor een groot contrast met de Shitennoji-tempel en wordt prachtig weergegeven op oude en heilige gronden. Kom ademen in 1500 jaar geschiedenis.
Geniet van een spectaculair uitzicht op Osaka in het noorden, de bergen die Nara in het oosten afbakenen en de kust in het westen en het zuiden.
Een zeer lichtbezochte, prachtige Japanse tuin net iets ten zuiden van Osaka, de tuin van Daisen Park zal u verrassen terwijl u door de vijver slentert en dieper langs zijn fraai aangelegde rivier. De toegang is 200 yen. Terwijl we hier uitkijken over een van de grootste graflocaties ter wereld, die van keizer Nintoku van rond de 5e eeuw.

Laat ons alstublieft weten waar we u kunnen ophalen. Voor locaties buiten het centrum van Osaka (gedefinieerd als de JR Loop Line) geldt een toeslag van tussen de 1.000 yen en 2.500 yen per enkele reis.

- Houd er rekening mee dat de Japanse tuinen in Daisen Park op maandag gesloten zijn (tenzij maandag een feestdag is, in welk geval ze op dinsdag gesloten zijn). Als de Japanse tuin van Daisen Park op de dag van je tournee gesloten is, kun je tijd doorbrengen met winkelen, andere locaties verkennen met de auto of iets anders naar wens.
- Fooien zijn ongewoon in Japan, maar als je echt van je tijd hebt genoten en je gids wilt laten zien hoeveel je ze waardeert, zullen ze enorm blij zijn!
- Volgens de Japanse wet MOETEN kinderen jonger dan 6 jaar of kleiner dan 140 cm autostoeltjes gebruiken. Vraag er indien nodig vooraf een aan bij ons.
- Geniet van alle spannende stops die hierboven zijn beschreven en meer tijdens deze privévoertuigtour! Het beschreven plan is een modelbaan en er is mogelijkheid tot verandering op basis van de interesses van onze gasten. Timing en externe factoren (zoals verkeersomstandigheden) kunnen afwijkingen van dit modelparcours forceren.

Kevin was excellent and our day was spectacular because of his efforts. He truly is a star Tour Guide. We visited the Osaka Castle, the Shrine, The Kofun museum and Daisen Park. We also visited a pet store to see some gorgeous puppies and had a very tasty GF lunch at Kevin's suggestion. As well, he helped us with a travel issue. Awesome private tour with specific requested destinations. We were in Osaka for a wedding (family with adult children, option not available in Viator) and requested some changes in the tour destinations, esp a bonsai school for my brother-in-law! Pleasant surprise to discover that this tour is also operated by Pinpoint Travels, with whom we booked another tour to Kyoto on another day (amazing guide Kevin, quick email responses from Kristy in their office)! Price of private tour with flexible schedule and patient and knowledgeable guide so worth it with fam who wanted to take pics at every turn!

We had a wonderful day with Lito our guide. Lito very accommodating to make sure that we saw the best of Osaka in the day we had with him. We had lots of laughs and nothing was to much trouble. The Tour was a delight as he took us to the less visited temples and shrines so the crowds were not prevalent which was very pleasing, the peace and serenity of the temples and shrines really stood out.
We were supposed to do this full day tour on our last day in Osaka. We were looking forward to it. 24 hrs before the tour that we planned months ago we receive an email that the tour was cancelled without zero explanation. Totally unacceptable!!!! We traveled all this way from the US and to have a tout cancelled without any notice is disgraceful. It was also nearly impossible to book something else on such short notice. We had to settle for some half day walking tour on public transportation when we wanted a private vehicle. I have used Viator in multiple countries and never had a problem. This time I’m disgusted and they should have found us a suitable replacement. Very poor customer service. Totally ruined a once in a lifetime opportunity.
We once again apologize for the cancellation. There was, in fact, a very good explanation provided to you, so we must take issue with the "cancelled with zero explanation!!!!" portion of your review. We cancel a truly miniscule fraction of 1% of our tours, and of course we hate doing it. It's only in the case on an emergency (as it was this time) that we would generally ever do it. Of course we don't want to disappoint or anger our guests, so of course we try and do everything in our power to keep tours running even when lightening strikes. We are not a flaky company. For those reading this review, please understand that literally 90%+ of our guests overall do not write reviews, but around 90% that had a negative experience *do* write reviews.
We had a great time with our guide Levy. He was very knowledgeable and friendly. He was also very flexible and adjusted our itinerary based on what we visited and wanted to see. We enjoyed the tea ceremony and the visit to the fish market. Overall, we had a wonderful time. And our sushi lunch was one of the highlights of our entire trip for my son. Thank you for a great tour!
