This although costly is the way to see this wondergul evocative are .We had a tremendous guide whi was fun and polite .This is an area to visit ,walking and dfiving through easily identifiable historic periods .
This golf cart tour was a MUST DO. We learned so much. We had Fredrick as our guide, he was the best guide of all our excursions during our 5 days in Rome. He was easy to understand, patient, and so knowledgeable. My 2 sisters and I give him a thumbs up!
As a lover of Ancient Rome, the Appian Way was a bucket list item for me. Taking a private golf cart ride with a personal guide is the ONLY way to go. We had trouble reaching the meeting point (taxi strike), but the tour staff worked with us to ensure we still had a cart at our disposal, we just lost some of the rental time due to our late arrival. They were completely understanding as to our inability to arrive on time. Giorgia was our guide, and her love of Roman history matched mine. I was in seventh heaven with everything she showed us and all the information she conveyed. She was warm and personable, and she knew her stuff. This tour exceeded all my expectations. When I return to Rome in another year or two, I intend to do this again because it was that good. WELL WORTH the money. This tour isn't just a five star event, it's really a TEN STAR tour.
