I spent 3 enjoyable days traveling around El Salvador with Jared in a private vehicle in January 2026. He is professional, punctual, customer focused, friendly and very helpful. He is also very easy going and flexible. I discussed initial plans for each day which changed a few times, but he never complained. He made good suggestions, and added things to the itinerary that I may have missed otherwise. I found his rates very reasonable as well. In addition to the old cable car viewpoint at sunset, I also went to El Boqueron, puerta del diablo, Suchitoto, Cihuatan and Santa Ana Volcano. He aslo took me to one of his favorite papuseria for dinner which was great!
Great views, learn how to use the panoramic or 360 degree feature on your camera, you will get good pictures on this excursion
Jarod was great! He was prompt and courteous and informative. He is agreeable to your requests including immediate need for papusa! Please consider him for any personalized travel needs.
I have never — and I mean NEVER — been so utterly impressed by a tour in my entire life. Let me make something crystal clear: I have high standards, and I genuinely did not expect this tour to be as astronomically good as it was. But oh my goodness, it completely blew me away. First of all, the guide? An actual legend. A gentleman. A hero among men. His music taste alone deserves its own separate award. Finally, someone who understands the power of a good playlist! He didn’t just drive — he curated an experience. And the sunset? Words barely do it justice. I was fully prepared to take a few photos and move on, but NO — He told us to take our time, stay as long as we wanted — no rushing, no pressure. He even offered to bring the car up to us because it was getting dark, like we were royalty out there in the mountains. Who does that these days?! And just when I thought it couldn’t possibly get better? He took us to the gas station so we could grab snacks for the ride home. I’m sorry, what?! Above and beyond doesn’t even begin to describe this level of care. To anyone even remotely considering this tour: stop hesitating. Book it immediately. Cancel your other plans. Honestly, I’d give this experience ten stars if I could. I will be telling everyone about this until the end of time.
Our tour guide was Cristian. He was punctual and ready to take us on this spectacular tour. The drive uphill was adventurous with beautiful views. We arrived at sunset for the epic, breathtaking views of San Salvador. Indeed, this tour is a must do in my opinion. Cristian was able to capture nice videos and pictures. At the end, he showed us the historical region which was so beautiful at night time. This tour is highly recommended
My son and I met up with our guide, Jared to take a private 4x4 tour of the views of San Salvador from the old Cable Car. We took the tour in the late afternoon and were able to watch the sunset! Jared was such a friendly host and very knowledgeable. He even took us to a local restaurant after the tour to try pupusas that were amazing!
Saw a most gorgeous evening view of the city, encircled by volcanoes, the sun setting in the west, city lights below including Christmas lights, Lake to the east, all from a very high point once a cablecar station, approached thru a private coffee plantation. Cristian Hernandez was an outstanding guide throughout picking me up from the airport, driving 4x4 very expertly up the plantation road, explaining everything in detail, showing coffee beans out to dry as we took in the sunset. Has to be the best view of the city, still something of a secret. After that before dropping me to my hotel Cristian showed me Centro Historico in full Christmas lighting, milling with people, families, kids, live entertainment on an outdoor stage, the important buildings. This evening tour is highly recommended and Cristian is a most talented guide.
Great Job by Jared. Fun solo experience. I highly recommend for an easy tour. Very nice day and topped it off with a tour through the historic town.
This tour is a private tour. Unlike other tours where I am grouped with other people, I as the only person on the tour. I have nothing against being grouped with other people (I do them all the time), but it was nice to just have space for myself. I booked the tour for later in the evening so that I could watch the sun set over the city and view the night lights. Jared picked me up at my hotel in the city and we made our way up the mountain. The scenery up the mountain was beautiful and you get glimpses of San Salvador. Once we got the site, we walked around the grounds of a former amusement park. Jared gave an entertaining history of the park and showed pictures of it when it was up and running. The difference between the pictures and the structures that have remained is astounding. From the site where cable car used to launch you have the most amazing view of El Salvador and mountains in the distance. We walked around exploring the grounds and watched the sunset. Then we started our drive down the mountain. Since it was just me, Jared was nice enough to make a quick stop at The Little Prince Park before he dropped me off at my hotel. It is one of my favorite books and I really appreciate that he took the time to stop. I highly recommend this tour if you are looking for a relaxing way to get out and see some beautiful and amazing views of the city.
Excelent off road ride to the top of the mountain where there was a cable car. View of the whole city and the lake from the top. See how coffee grows and other interesting trees. Go afternoon, to see the sunset.
