08:00 uur : Ontmoet uw Gids onder het grote rode bord "Volksvergaderzaal" (in het Chinees 重庆市��民大礼堂) op het Chongqing Volksplein. U kunt gemakkelijk de metro, de openbare bus en de taxi nemen om er te komen. Het dichtstbijzijnde metrostation is "Chongqing People's Auditorium Station", uitgang 1.
09.00 uur: Neem een taxi naar Liziba Station. Liziba metrostation is erg populair op sociale media. Het is geen toeristische attractie maar het unieke is te danken aan het feit dat dit metrostation midden in een gebouw ligt. Hier neem je een rail en ervaar je hoe de lightrail door het woongebouw gaat.
09.30 uur Chongqing E'ling Park, gelegen in het Yuzhong District, werd opgericht in 1909 en was ooit de privétuin van de lokale rijkste man. Loop naar het Lansheng Paviljoen in het park, en je krijgt een adembenemend uitzicht op de prachtige convergentie van de Yangtze en Jialing rivieren. Het is ook een uitstekende plek voor een vogels uitzicht op Chongqing stad.
10.40 uur : Wandeling langs de Shancheng Alley. De Shancheng Alley in Chongqing is ongeveer 1,5 kilometer en is een klein steegje gevuld met historische charme en de essentie van het dagelijks leven. De laan is geplaveid met groene leisteen en gebouwd langs de berghelling, kronkelend en kronkelend met traditionele Chongqing architectuur aan beide zijden, versierd met groen en bloeiende bloemen. Naarmate Chongqing zich heeft ontwikkeld, zijn veel kleine steegjes en stadspoorten verdwenen, waardoor dit een overblijfsel is van de herinneringen aan de oudere generatie inwoners van Chongqing.
12.30 uur : Neem een taxi naar Dongshuimen Bridge om van een afstand te genieten van een zeer uniek uitzicht op de Chongqing Yangtze River Cableway. De Chongqing Yangtze River Cableway wordt geprezen als de "Eerste Luchtcorridor over de Yangtze Rivier" en de "lokale Lift". Deze kabelbaan is sinds 1987 officieel operationeel en heeft een lengte van bijna 1,8 kilometer. Het beweegt met een snelheid van 6 meter per seconde en duurt ongeveer 4 minuten om van de ene oever van de Yangtze rivier naar de andere te reizen. Het dient als vervoermiddel voor het dagelijkse woon-werkverkeer van de burgers. Met de bouw van de Yangtze-rivierbrug is het geleidelijk een traditioneel middel geworden om de twee oevers te verbinden.
1250 uur : Loop naar de Chaotianmen Wholesale Market. Dit is de meest representatieve plek in Chongqing waar de overgang van het oude naar het nieuwe, gevuld is met een gevoel van cyberpunk sciencefiction. Ook zijn hier de "bangbang mannen" van de portiers het meest geconcentreerd. Het is heel dicht bij Raffles City (Chaotianmen Pier), we zullen hier een pauze nemen.
14 uur : Wandeling naar Hongya Cave. De Hongya Cave is meer dan 2000 jaar oud en is keer op keer gerestaureerd om zijn schoonheid te behouden. Een van de meest gerenommeerde plek om het nachtzicht van Chongqing te bekijken, en de meest drukke schilderachtige plek. Daarom is Hongya Cave altijd vol met verkeer en toeristen 's nachts.
15 uur : JIefangbeiplein. Dit is het hart van Chongqing stad. Het huisvest het Volksbevrijdingsmonument in het midden van de voetgangersboulevard. Er zijn tal van eet- en winkelen mogelijkheden in de omgeving. Het is ook de plek voor mensen die kijken. De tour eindigt hier. Daarna kunt u rondlopen en de beroemde Chongqing hotpot proberen voor het avondeten en genieten van een geweldig uitzicht op het stadscentrum.

Robert was an excellent tour guide! With this being my first day in Chongqing, he made an overwhelming city all the more manageable with his in depth knowledge of the city, it's history and some of the real highlights to see- including places I wouldn't have thought to visit! He was flexible with our itenerary, attentive to my needs and a fast friend. Would gladly recommend this tour to others- albeit something you could do yourself to save some money. Thank you!

I went on this tour with my mom and we absolutely loved it! It also happened to be just the two of us. Our tour guide was Aaron and he was incredibly delightful and well informed on the history and culture. The pacing was great, we never felt rushed, and he even accommodated my mom’s needs since she has a bad knee. Other than the gift shops and other things that I bought, the admission fees were all taken care of. He was amazing and I would definitely do this again.

Our guide, Peter, showed us Chongqing in all its glory. What a beautiful city. From Gooseneck ( Eling) Park to the bustling streets of the old town, with enchanting tea houses perched on the mountain side. We particularly enjoyed visiting the museums celebrating General Sitwell and the Flying Tigers. Peter also showed us the best place to have authentic Chongqin noodles. We had a wonderful couple of days made all the more enjoyable in Peter's company.
