Dompel jezelf onder in de natuur tijdens een dagwandeling in Punta Arenas en ontdek de verhalen van mensen die, tegen alle verwachtingen in, al meer dan 11.000 jaar floreren in de ontembare wildernis van Patagonië. Ervaar de uitgestrektheid van de ongerepte wildernis van Patagonië terwijl je wandelt over een klein handelspad door de stille stilte van een 100 jaar oud bos. Deze wandeling in Punta Arenas voert je langs kronkelende paden vol planten, omhoog door winderige heuvels en omlaag naar de riviervallei die door de stad loopt. Beklim zachte bergkammen en navigeer over kiezelplateaus met ongelooflijke 360 graden uitzichten op de gebeeldhouwde geografie van het schiereiland Brunswick. Leer hoe het landschap op zijn beurt het leven in Patagonië heeft gevormd. Picknick met een lunch met verse lokale smaken in het hart van het bos, genietend van het uitzicht op torenhoge groene bomen met met mos versierde takken. Zie daarna hoe subtiele veranderingen in het landschap het bos veranderen. Geniet na uw wandeling van lokale tapas en een toast met uw gids.

Geniet van een dagwandeling in het Reserva Nacional Magallanes van Punta Arenas. Deze wandeling van 11 km (6,9 mijl) golft door het bos met een totaal hoogteverschil van 320 m (1050 ft). De tijd die u besteedt aan wandelen zal variëren op basis van de weersomstandigheden, groepsfitness en interpretatieve momenten op de route. Normaal gesproken duurt deze wandeling 6,5 tot 7 uur.

Ophaallocaties en -tijden
Uw privégids en chauffeur arriveren 15 minuten vóór de starttijd van uw tour op de door u gekozen ophaalbestemming om u te begroeten en te controleren of iedereen heeft wat hij of zij nodig heeft voor veiligheid en comfort tijdens uw dienst. Voor hotel- en hostelpassagiers: uw gids ontmoet u in de lobby van uw accommodatie, met een bordje met uw achternaam en het Indomita Adventures-logo erop. Voor passagiers van cruiseschepen bevindt uw gids zich in de wachtruimte na de douane-inspectie in de haven, met een bord met uw achternaam en het Indomita Adventures-logo in de hand om u te helpen ze te vinden.

It was a lovely hike up the hill on the outskirts of Punta Arenas. Not too difficult but great vistas and about 6 miles in total. Manuel sets whatever pace you need and stops whenever needed. Bring a windbreaker for sure as it can be howling at the vistas. We covered all sorts of topics from the flora and fauna, the history of the area as well as Chile in general. No topic was unanswered no matter how diverse the question. We ended the hike with a lovely lunch in a restaurant near the port that I'm not sure we would have found without Manuel. Lovely day! What an experience with a guide who walked at my speed. Very interesting and knowledgeable so enjoyed the lunch after hike. Was on a cruise ship and the timing worked out great.

Wonderful day, hiking a 6 mile loop in the beautiful Patagonian Forest. Our hike took us to a higher elevation where we could view the bay and see where our cruise liner was anchored. Manuel, a native of Punta Arenas, was a personable and friendly guide, knowledgeable about the history, botany and fauna of the area. We had a delightful time chatting as we hiked and met his lovely wife, Jamie, and thoroughly enjoyed the Chilean goodies on a break. The day was topped off with a glass of wine and delicious appetizers in an artistically decorated restaurant in town. Thank you Manuel and Jamie for a memorable day in Punta Arenas, Chile.

Jamie Pratt, tour guide & director of Borealis Adventures, picked my husband and me up at our hotel in Punta Arenas as scheduled. Communication before the trip was excellent. The walk was at our pace and she supplied walking poles which made it very enjoyable and safe. The Lenga trees were tall and green this time of year. Jamie is a very knowledgeable guide and identified several birds, mushrooms and plants that we saw along our walk. Lunch was delicious avocado, tomato and cheese sandwiches with papaya juice. We thoroughly enjoyed the walk and her guidance through the Patagonian forest. We highly recommend this company and activity.
