Als je je afvraagt waar je meer te weten kunt komen over de geschiedenis, cultuur en tradities van de Joodse diaspora in Centraal-Europa, dan is Boedapest de beste plek om te kijken. Duizenden jaren Joodse geschiedenis, met al zijn tragische, poëtische en komische aspecten, zijn gecentreerd in Boedapest. We maken een wandeling door Erzsébetváros, de Joodse wijk, het meest opvallende en onverwachte deel van de stad, en ontdekken hoe mensen hier vandaag de dag leven. We zullen praten over de oorsprong van het zionisme en de Holocaust, de takken van het jodendom en hoe het is om een orthodoxe jood te zijn in de moderne wereld. De tour wordt geleid door een inwoner van Israël en een vertegenwoordiger van de Joodse diaspora, dus deze tour zal ook fascinerend zijn voor degenen die al goed thuis zijn in het onderwerp. Deze plek zit ook vol met geheimen en mysteries, die we zullen moeten vinden en ontdekken. De synagoge van Rumbach is onlangs gerenoveerd na 60 jaar verlaten te zijn geweest. Een uitstekend voorbeeld van architectuur in Moorse stijl.

This is a very superficial tour you can easily do on your own , let along find it 30% cheaper if you book it directly with the company . If you are looking for a comprehensive historical background tour , this is NOT it. It’s simply walking through the street and pointing buildings. In fact , our guide not only lack background knowledge, he got some facts wrong . He is sweet and kind but he should not take such responsibility before acquiring more information. So sad to write this but tourist should know what they NOT getting for $300….!
