Dit is een wandeltocht door een klein stadje waar de geschiedenis lijkt stil te staan. Met bezoeken aan het House of Wonders, de voormalige slavenmarkt, de paleismusea van de Sultan, het Forodhani-park waar een avondvoedselmarkt is, de Jakenhoek die het hart van de stad vormt, de gebeeldhouwde deuren van Zanzibar, de Darajani-markt, het Perzische Badmuseum, Portugees fort, anglicaanse en katholieke kerken, talloze moskeeën en enkele hindoetempels. Ten slotte zie je het huis van Freddy Mercury (koningin). Het is een fascinerende kijk op de essentie van Zanzibar. De bouwstijlen van de gebouwen zijn een mengeling van verschillende invloeden en culturen, zoals Afrikaans, Arabisch, Indiaas, Portugees, Brits en Frans. At the end of our stay in Zanzibar, we wanted to organise a bespoke private tour of Stone Town to include hotel pick-up and airport drop off with our luggage. Mo and his team sorted it without any problem and at a very fair price. Mohammed, our driver and tour guide, was very friendly and knowledgeable.

Muhammed was an amazing guide! He studied tourism and answer all of our questions about the beautiful stonetown! He even picked out a great restaurant for hs to eat lunch and we were able to stop at gift shops! Amazing tour!

Everything was well organized. We booked 3 days with Motours. First day spicefarm and Stonetown. Second day sunset on the boat and third day kwale island with snorkeling and a perfect seafood lunch. Our guide knew everything about Stonetown and toke us to all the special places. Nice to have a private guide.

We had a great time in Zanzibar with Ally, he took us to Stone town. The best trip in which we had wonderful day for Zanzibar history, the place has a beautiful ancient heritages. It's the best place for shopping as well. Highly recommend.

Stone town tour is a good tour for historical events past gone. No took us to the city and he showed us a lot of attractions, he is talkative and fluent English speaker, he knows the history and he is so charming. I highly recommend him.
