This is an amazing tour! Ryan is a superb guide - knowledgeable, engaging and passionate about his field. He tailored the tour to our interests and showed us so many fabulous sights. Each tour will be different, and I am excited to discover what wonders await me the next time I visit Denver and take a tour with Ryan.
We had a wonderful time birding with Ryan in late September in the Denver area. Based on our target list, Ryan was able to customize our outings to help us find many birds of interest. We hiked along beautiful trails in the mountains, visited Rocky Mountain National Park, and Pawnee National Grassland. Ryan’s knowledge and enthusiasm regarding the habitats and birds in the area added to an outstanding learning experience. We found Ryan friendly, flexible, attentive, and just fun to be around. We highly recommend him and look forward to seeing him again next year.
We had three half days with Ryan as our guide. They were amazing days where we learned a lot about the birds of the Rockies and saw many. Our favorite was when Ryan found a group of five White-tailed Ptarmigan on the high tundra. Ryan was kind, thoughful, knowledgable and actively found birds for us. He was concerned that everyone in our group had a good experience and saw the birds. He was respectful of the birds. He was a wonderful guide and I would not hesitate to use him again or highly recommend him to anyone wanting to explore the birds of the Rocky Mountains.
I arranged for 3 days of birding in Colorado, with Birding Man Adventures, for myself and some friends. From the start, Ryan was easy to work with as he and I planned the trip. Everyone found Ryan to be exceptionally kind and accommodating, extremely knowledgeable and smart, and exceptionally personable. We all enjoyed our experiences and commented on what an outstanding guide he was. And yes, we saw some fantastic birds!!
Ryan did an amazing job of finding out what our expectations were for our trip and making those a reality. He took our input regarding types of hikes we were interested in, what types of animals we'd most like to find, and where we'd like to stop along the way. We loved it! This was a great experience for us. We were so impressed by Ryan's knowledge, but he also kept everything fun. We would definitely book with him again! You should, too.
My wife and I recently had the pleasure of taking a birding tour with the Birding Man himself, Ryan Dibala. Ryan is great guide, very enthusiastic, sincere, and tremendously knowledgeable, and we enjoyed our day long trip up into the Rocky Mountain National Park outside of Denver. We saw many bird species (quite a few new ones added to our life list) and even some interesting mammals, and we enjoyed a beautiful day in nature. I would highly recommend this top-notch tour with Ryan.
My first time birding felt like a fun Easter egg hunt, thanks to my easygoing guide, Ryan. Ryan uses his knowledge of bird habitats, his senses, and a Bluetooth speaker to make locating and luring the fast-flying raptors a breeze for him. As a first-time birder, I found it a bit of a challenge in the beginning to find the little critters high and hidden in the treetops as I fumbled around with my binoculars, but things eventually got easier for me towards the end of our trip. We ended up spotting several species of birds through the meadow and up the mountain, including a rare glimpse of a Pine Grosbeak. Ryan gets extra bonus points for explaining how the weather affects the overall Colorado landscape; educating me on the local flora around us, such as the aspen tree; using a laser pointer to point out the precise location of a bird he sees on a tree branch; and emailing me after the trip with a list of the birds we saw, along with useful info and resources to help me continue my birding journey elsewhere. Whether you're a first-time birder like me or a seasoned veteran, I'd highly recommend Ryan for your birding adventures.
My husband and I just spent an amazing day with Ryan in the Rocky Mountain National Park area. From the time Ryan picked us up at our hotel he shared his deep knowledge of the area and all it's wildlife and especially of course the birds. When we expressed concerns about certain parts of the day, Ryan immediately adapted the day so that we were able to see as much as possible in the time that we had. When we expressed a desire to see a few particular birds, he knew just where to go so that we would be sure to see those birds. He knew spots in the park and in the surrounding area that we would have never found on our own. I really appreciated Ryan's patience. I am not the most experienced, or the quickest birder and Ryan made sure that we both got to see the birds. We saw over 50 species and we had twelve lifers for the day. In addition Ryan provided snacks, water and a delicious lunch that we ate under the trees. We also appreciated the photos that Ryan took and shared with us. What else can I say, I highly recommend this tour. When we go back to Colorado we will do this again.
I had my tour with Ryan as a casually experienced birdwatcher and photographer. Ryan knew Rocky Mountain National Park well. I think that my checklist was difficult to work with given the time of the year and the park conditions, but we were still able to tick off several birds I had never seen before, and I was able to get good looks and good pictures of many more. He took photos and videos of the animals and of me as well, which is a nice touch. Although my tour was in RMNP specifically, Ryan is also knowledgeable about the birds in other parts of the state–if you have a tour with him in one location, it seems he'll be happy to give you hints on where to find birds you're looking for in other locations. If you know what you're looking for, it's a good idea to share it ahead of time.
Wow! The Jeep tour was such an awesome, memorable experience. You want Ryan from Birding Man Adventures as your guide. Just book it already! He is incredibly knowledgeable, fun, and friendly. Ryan knows birds (duh), geology, history, conservation, and just how to hold a conversation, laugh, and have a good time. Our 8-hour private tour of Rocky Mountain National Park was spectacular. He pre-planned routes to spot a bald eagle nest, prairie dogs, bighorn sheep, and tons of birds, plus catered to our sightseeing/hiking interests and abilities (me: 41; my dad: 77).
