We raden twee verschillende grotten of plaatsen aan voor een dagtrip: Phong Nha-grot en Paradijushol, Paradijushol of Duistere grot, Botanische Tuin is een korte stop voordat je de kernzone van het nationale park betreedt. Phong Nha-grot is niet alleen een natuurlijke erfenis van de wereld. Het staat ook als een overblijfsel van het historische Ho Chi Minh-parcours, dat tijdens de Amerikaanse oorlog als een geheime schuilplaats voor drijvende bruggen diende die alleen 's nachts waren uitgezet om gerichte bomaanslagen te voorkomen. Deze bruggen waren sleutelcomponenten in de supply chain van het noorden naar het zuiden door toeleveringswagens de rivieren over te laten. Het diende ook ooit als een ziekenhuis, met wapens geïnstalleerd bij de ingang. Nadat de locatie was ontdekt, werd deze zwaar gebombardeerd, wat resulteerde in de externe littekens die je vandaag ziet. Dit gebied is nu het eerste deel van het immer populaire Ho Chi Minh-parcours, met een weelderig, bergachtig landschap. Paradise Cave is de langste droge grot in Azië (gelegen in Phong Nha - de kernzone van Ke Bang National Park.) Met natuurlijk primitieve kenmerken lijkt Paradise Cave op een landschapsschilderij, waardoor het een natuurlijk wonder is dat velen hebben genoten sinds de opening in 2010. Volgens spelunkers (grotonderzoekers), hoe dieper men de grot inrijdt, hoe meer men de bronnen van hemelse helderheid overal voelt. De hoogte van de grot kan oplopen tot 72 m en tot 150 m breed Er is een reeks van wit kristal stalactieten (kalksteenafzettingen) die lijken op natuurlijke pilaren en vele andere spectaculaire formaties. Dark cave is een avontuurlijke en actievolle ervaring. Een bezoek aan deze grot is onder meer uitgerust met een zip-voering over een turquoise rivier, zwemmen in de monding van de grot (inclusief reddingsvesten), wandelen door het donker met alleen de hoofdlamp op je mijnhelm om de weg te verlichten, moddergevecht hebben in de levendige modder. baden diep in de grot, wassen schoon met een duik in het meer in de grot, dan terug kajakken over de rivier om je kracht te testen op de hangende hindernisbaan en open kabelbanen.

We just have a wonderful Phong Nha cave private tour with Phong Nha Discovery and would like to recommend its services to people who has a similar need. Our tour was a whole day tour with visits to the Dark Cave and the Phong Nha Cave, plus a provided lunch break in between. Our young tour guide, Andy Bui, is excellent. This trip was fantastic start to finish! Tuyen aka “Chocolate”, our tour guide, was so knowledge and friendly. She took the time to chat with each couple, took some amazing photos for us and arranged our next tour! Quoc was a great and safe driver. We unfortunately ended up with a flat tire and there was a new van ready to pick up our group in under 10minutes. The restaurant was delicious and accommodated all diets. The caves were STUNNING! This tour is a must!!!

Amazing tour with Victor who is an experienced guide and very nice person. His English is very good and he explains lot of interesting things about the Vietnamese culture and about the local area. We went to Paradise cave and the Dark Cave. The Dark Cave was absolutely fantastic. Lots of fun to be had spelunking, swimming and ziplining. Our guide, Victor, was an absolute legend. 100% recommend! The food was surprisingly good as well!

We visited Dark Cave and Paradise Cave with our guide Victor. Victor picked us up on time from our hotel in Dong Hoi and we made our way to Phong Nha. We first visited Paradise cave which was very interesting. We then headed off for a great lunch before making our way to dark cave. The only negative was that they do not highlight that max weight to zip line is 90kg. The tour of dark cave was great fun and very unique. Would highly recommend
