De Bol binnen een Bol" van Arnaldo Pomodoro in de Vaticaanse Musea is een opvallend sculpturaal meesterwerk dat de Cortile della Pigna siert. Dit boeiende kunstwerk heeft een grote bronzen bol met een gestructureerd, gebroken oppervlak, waardoor een kleinere bol binnenin zichtbaar wordt. Het samenspel van licht en schaduw op de ingewikkelde patronen draagt bij aan zijn betoverende allure. De sculptuur van Pomodoro in de Vaticaanse Musea symboliseert thema's van complexiteit en innerlijke diepte en is een bewijs van de convergentie van kunst, spiritualiteit en diepgaande betekenis in het hart van een van 's werelds meest gerenommeerde culturele instellingen.
De Sixtijnse Kapel dankt zijn naam aan Paus Sixtus IV della Rovere (pontif van 1471 tot 1484) die de oude Cappella Magna liet restaureren tussen 1477 en 1480. Het is bekend over de hele wereld, zowel voor de plaats waar het conclaaf en andere officiële ceremonies van de paus worden gehouden (in het verleden ook enkele pauselijke kroningen), en voor het worden versierd met een van de meest beroemde en gevierde kunstwerken van de artistieke beschaving de fresco's van Michelangelo.

Het huisvest zelfs een ondergrondse crypte voor pausen, waarvan kan worden bezocht (niet beschikbaar op woensdagochtend vanwege het pauselijke publiek) De Basiliek heeft een grote invloed van Michelangelo en je kunt zijn kunstwerken overal zien. De basiliek werd oorspronkelijk gebouwd boven het graf van de Prins der Apostelen, waar de paus elke kerst- of paastijd op bezoek komt.

Alessia was organized, knowledgeable and intriguing in her delivery of information as we toured through the Vatican. Her process presented seamlessly, despite the many typical obstacles presented by other guests, tours, and independent visitors. We started early in the morning at 7:30a. when crowds were lighter, but they quickly picked up and when it did, Alessia didn't skip a beat, navigating through each area and explaining the history and significance of each important detail effortlessly. The knowledge she shared was easily digestable and her ability to personalize the tour to our individual interests and travel plans with information shared was beyond impressive. I would absolutely recommend Alessia for your private Vatican tour and even suggest requesting her specifically.

Unforgettable lifetime experience. Our guide Valentina is very professional and knowledgeable. It is well worth it to buy the early entry and skip-the-line service. It literally saved us hours, not to mention sparing us the pain of standing in the July heat.
I must say that the guide Lorenzo was impeccable; he led us by selecting the main works with skill and added a touch of friendliness that is always welcome. I do not give five stars because I find the experience slightly different from what was stated in the description: the announcement reads "early access, avoiding the crowds." In reality, the access is not early; it is simply the moment when the museum opens to everyone, not just to those who booked this experience and not only to those who have a guide. This means that in reality you enter together with many other people, and the "exclusive" effect that this activity promises is somewhat lost. At that point, if you want to see the entire museum and not just the Sistine Chapel (which is the last thing to see in the museum), there will still be people around you, and the chapel may not be completely full but it will not be empty either. For this reason, I find the price excessive compared to the activity.

In questo caso, il termine “early”, inteso come “accesso al Vaticano presto, all’orario di apertura”, è stato tradotto in modo non corretto come “accesso anticipato”. È importante chiarire che nessun tour privato può accedere ai Musei Vaticani prima dell’apertura ufficiale al pubblico; questo tipo di ingresso è riservato esclusivamente ai gruppi ufficiali organizzati direttamente dai Musei Vaticani. Comprendiamo quindi perfettamente la sua osservazione e riconosciamo che la formulazione in italiano poteva creare un’aspettativa diversa. La ringraziamo ancora per avercelo fatto notare. Abbiamo già provveduto a richiedere la modifica a Viator, poiché su alcune descrizioni non abbiamo controllo diretto immediato. We had a great experience with Gianluca for our Vatican Musuems tour. We were picked up at our Airbnb and he gave us flexible options for breakfast since we had an early tour. He took all the stress off where to go, security, and had great knowledge - we would have missed so much and been lost without him. Our private Vatican tour with Mirta was fantastic! We were picked up from our hotel on time and every detail of the day went exactly as promised. Mirta was a charming and informative tour guide. She had so much to share and was funny too. While we waited to go in (we were intentionally early in order to enter as soon as the Vatican opened), she wisely used the time to share all about the Sistine chapel since guides can’t speak inside the church. Later, when we were actually in the chapel, we felt we had much better knowledge of all of the special details. Starting early meant we were able to beat the rush of people and have a really special overall experience. She was so good at highlighting the best parts and kept it moving so we could see each space in a timely manner. She even took nice pictures of our group in the perfect spots.
