Privétourervaring van Sapa Town naar Cat Cat Village Cat Cat Village is een van de beroemdste bestemmingen van niet alleen binnenlandse reizigers, maar ook buitenlandse reizigers. Het ligt in de Muong Hoa-vallei, op slechts een paar minuten loopafstand van Sapa. Dit is een eeuwenoud dorp van de etnische groep H'Mong, dat nog steeds unieke gebruiken en praktijken heeft die in andere dorpen veel voorkomen. We beginnen om 8.30 uur vanuit de Sapa-kerk of uw hotel. We lopen dan 30-45 minuten naar het dorp Cat Cat. Onderweg zie je prachtige rijstterrassen en lieflijke H’mong dorpjes. Ik zal met je delen over de levensstijl en praktijken van H'mong.
Bij aankomst in Cat Cat dorp kunt u deelnemen aan vele activiteiten en ervaar de lokale H’mong leven: - Probeer verschillende stijlen kleurrijke traditionele H’mong kleding (hiervoor betaal je een kleine vergoeding) - Proef heerlijke lokale gerechten: buffelvlees, H’mong rookworsten, gegrild ei, suikerrietsap... - Bezoek een prachtige waterval en bekijk muzikale shows die door de watervallen worden opgevoerd (alleen op bepaalde tijden gedurende de dag) - Observeer het proces van het maken van de unieke H’mong hennep stof - Maak Instagram-waardige foto's en Tiktok-waardige video's met kunstzinnige installaties en natuurlijke achtergronden We brengen ongeveer 2 uur door in Cat Cat village, en lopen dan terug naar Sapa centrum (30 - 50 minuten lopen, afhankelijk van je tempo). *Entreeprijs voor Cat Cat is inbegrepen. Ook 2 - 3 stuks lokale snacks zijn inbegrepen. Lunch is niet voorzien. Als je ouder bent, moet je de wandeling overwegen. Sapa is een bergachtig gebied, er zijn trappen in dorpen.

It is not disclosed at the beginning that instead of walking from hotel to entrance of cat cat village there is a stair case going down with 600 steps that in many parts has no handrail. For about 5 usd and 10 minutes you can take a car to the opening of village where you still have to walk a lot. On your walk down a utility road, vans of passengers pass you to get dropped off. It would be so easy to at least offer this and while not quite bait and switch, it certainly is willful not disclosure of highly relevant information. Vietnam tour operators are notorious for one or another scam ( i live in vietnam) and this tour operator is one of them. Read all the details more carefully than i did. There are plenty of tours that take you to the gate.
Dear Ambler Moss, This tour is a private tour to Cat Cat, includes a local tour guide, tickets and local snack. The tour does not include transfer. We checked with our guide. You walked to the village. Our guide bought tickets. You did not want to visit the village with stairs. You wanted to change the itinerary. When you arrived a local market, you asked our guide to leave. Our operator checked with you and got no reply. You did not mention what we supported. At the last minute, we supported to change the itinerary with no extra. We still had to pay the tour guide and tickets were bought. You are elderly visitors. You know Sapa is a mountainous area, there are stairs/steeps in most villages. We are so disappointed about your review. We do hope you check details of the tour in advance and we expect more direct communication during the tour. We just hope you have a good time in Sapa in general and in Vietnam. Best regards, Luong
We had a wonderful experience visiting Cat Cat Village in Sapa, and a big part of that was thanks to our amazing tour guide, Nhu. From the start, Nhu was friendly, knowledgeable, and incredibly patient. She shared fascinating insights about the local Hmong culture, traditions, and daily life, which really brought the village to life for us. Nhu made sure everyone felt comfortable, took great care of the group, and was always happy to answer questions or help with photos (which we truly appreciated!). Her passion for her culture and her warm personality made the tour both educational and enjoyable. Cat Cat Village itself is beautiful, but having a guide like Nhu made the experience truly memorable. I highly recommend this tour—and especially Nhu—if you’re visiting Sapa. The Cat Cat village is very beautiful. But it's a one-way street full of shops and mainly for tourists to take pictures. No nature and no rice fields. It takes half an hr to complete. Our guide Sung, saw that we were disappointed, so she took us walking between the villages for nature views, which were much more interesting. Thanks for her flexibility and fixing our experience.

We have many guests visiting Cat Cat Village and they are happy to see the village. For a nature and rice field village tour, you should have booked Y Linh Ho, Lao Chai, Ta Van trekking tour. We have offered the second tour to that rural villages with no extra. So it is not fair that you gave a 2 star review for the tour you booked and experienced more.
