We zijn gepassioneerd over het creëren van leuke privé tours en excursies aan land op maat voor uw familie en vrienden. Het is uw tour - bezoek het regenwoud bij Kaitoke (bekend als Rivendel voor LoRs fans) of bezoek de prachtige stranden van Kapiti Coast. Wellington City hoogtepunten kunnen ook worden opgenomen. Ideaal als je Wellington al eerder hebt bezocht of verder wilt gaan. Wij nemen na uw boeking contact met u op om uw reisschema op maat samen te stellen. Uw reisschema weerspiegelt uw interesses, beschikbare tijd en het weer. Laat het ons weten als u iets speciaals in gedachten heeft. We stoppen onderweg voor de lunch, locatie gebaseerd op wanneer de honger toeslaat. In noordelijke richting rijden we rond de visueel mooie en historisch belangrijke haven van Porirua. Voor mensen die geïnteresseerd zijn in beeldende kunst, kunnen we stoppen bij het Pātaka Art Museum om hun huidige gemeenschaps- en culturele tentoonstellingen te bekijken.
Als u de Centennial Highway naar het heerlijke kustplaatsje Paekākāriki rijdt, bekijken we het dorp en het strand. We kunnen ook QEII Park-museum bezoeken, gewijd aan de 15.000 Amerikaanse troepen die daar in de Tweede Wereldoorlog zijn gestationeerd.
Een optie voor de autoliefhebbers die er zijn - we kunnen de eerste particuliere automobielcollectie van het zuidelijk halfrond bezoeken in Paraparaumu, met meer dan 400 auto's om te bekijken.
Loop over het strand, geniet van dichtbij van het uitzicht op Kapiti Island, bekijk de winkels of lunch met verse, lokaal gevangen Fish and Chips.
We bieden een fantastisch uitzicht op de Kāpiti-kust en rijden over de Paekākāriki-heuvel naar de Hutt-vallei. Onderweg stoppen we voor foto's, ontmoeten we misschien wat palingen bij de historische Battle Hill Farm en bezoeken we de wetlands van Pāuatahanui.
We keren terug naar de stad en rijden langs de rand van de haven op land dat is opgewekt tijdens de enorme aardbeving van 1855. Als de tijd het toelaat, eindigen we met een rit door het historische Thorndon-dorp en een bezoek aan de botanische tuinen, voordat we je naar je favoriete locatie brengen.

Great way to maximize your time in the Wellington area! Suzee called me in advance to craft a day that best suited our interests and stayed in communication right up to the moment we met up. Jo picked us up just steps from where we got off our NCL ship. My husband and I wanted to spend time at the Southward Car Museum, which was awesome. So Jo dropped us off and took Mom and Sis to visit an arts and crafts gallery and a bit of shopping. Then we all had a lovely lunch at a local bakery before heading off to see the coastal sites as well as the Wellington area. We loved having a resident local show us the area and tell us about life there. Couldn't imagine a better way to spend a day in the Wellington area. We had exactly the experience we wanted at the pace we wanted and with an awesome guide. Suzee and Jo are genuinely good, caring, dependable, and fun people!!

If you are visiting Wellington, do yourself a favor and book a tour with Suzee. This was truly one of the highlights of our entire New Zealand trip. Suzee curated the most beautiful, thoughtful day for us, starting with a charming blueberry farm and apple picking experience that felt so peaceful and authentic. From there, we explored lush rainforest landscapes that felt straight out of The Lord of the Rings — including the breathtaking Rivendell filming location, which was absolutely magical to see in person. What made the day so special, though, was Suzee herself. She is warm, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about New Zealand. She shared wonderful insights about the local culture, history, and hidden gems throughout the countryside, all while making the experience feel relaxed and unhurried. The scenery was stunning at every turn, but it was Suzee’s attention to detail and genuine care that elevated this from a great tour to an unforgettable one. Highly, highly recommend — we would book with her again in a heartbeat.
It is such a privilege to hear how people experience us. We do what we do because we love sharing our hometown with guests - it is why we have chosen to keep uTours boutique. We want the fun of connecting with people for ourselves. You guys were just so lovely and trusting of our process while we worked out how we would spend the day. I was so happy when I realised the blueberry farm was open. I'd never seen a blueberry bush before - and then we got to eat blueberries (and apples) straight from the bush (trees). Plus I have to mention the feijoas - it was like we had an unexpected fruit tasting tour :) The bonus of a tour in March, even if it was the last cruise ship of the season :( Thanks for writing such a heartfelt review. I recently booked with UTours for a private, all-day tour for 13 guests. We came in on a cruise ship and wanted to see as much of Wellington and the surrounding area as possible and let me say right now, up front, that UTours was fantastic. From my initial email to them to see what sort of day they could put together for us, to several phone calls with Suzee to make sure we had our itinerary absolutely perfect, I could tell we were going to have a fantastic day before we even arrived. We had two vehicles given the size of our group and we spent a fantastic day exploring sites like the Wind Turbine Lookout, Red Rocks, Breaker Bay, Worser Bay, the famous Weta Workshop , the Parliament Buildings and Old St Paul's church. I'm sure I missed a few other places we saw but you get the point. We absolutely feel like we know Wellington and the surrounding areas. We even had a lunch stop for traditional meat pies at Puku and they were amazing! This was one of Suzee's suggestions and it was quick, cheap, and SUPERB! I can't say enough about our day - all 13 of us unanimously agreed that we loved our time in Wellington. Thank you Suzee!

Suzee from utours was wonderful. Knowledgeable and entertaining. Your guide can make or break the day and I Highly recommend using this owners operated company very responsive, excellent communication. Made sure to craft itinerary based on interests and requests of our specific group. Beautiful scenic drive, local spots Very thoughtful. Emailed quickly after booking confirmed regarding options for itinerary. Texted us day before tour so we would have easy access contact if we experienced any issues with meetup. Provided an array of beverages and snacks onboard. Very clean and comfortable vehicle. Fabulous recommendation of non touristy local seafood shop with beach view for lunch that was perfect.
Owner operators - Jo and I still get a buzz hearing that, even after seven years. I'm so glad you all had a fabulous day. Getting you away from the typical touristy spots is what we want for you. Spending the day with Suzee from Utours was a wonderful experience. Would highly recommend using this owner/operator company. She created an itinerary based on what interested us rather than a cookie cutter one size fits all tour. She reached out once booking was placed to be available to craft our day as we wanted. Reached out again close to tour date to check in, make any adjustments. Emailed us day before with detailed information for cruise port pick up texted the day before so we would have her number in phone in case we needed to reach her morning of. Pick up very smooth. Took us to local places, gorgeous scenic drive with stops great fish and chips lunch with beach view. Very engaging personable entertaining guide. Very comfortable vehicle that was very clean. Would def spend another day with Suzee next time we find ourselves in New Zealand

My wife and I had the most amazing tour of the area and got to see it from a local's perspective. Suzee was so accommodating and informative as we saw areas we wanted to know more about. She took the time to explain the areas to us. Suzee took time to understand us and what was important to us. I really appreciated that. Many tours are so repetitive and seem Step by Step. Suzee could see we wanted an off the script view of Wellington and the area, a feel for life there, and she delivered big time. I know Suzee already knew me enough to realize this review would be late as we built a friendship and understanding during the day. Yes, the reviews of tours typically fall to my wife. We have had amazing tours on this trip and on many of the trips we've taken before but I've never had a guide with Suzee's passion for the area. And I've never made a friend on a tour before.
