Het piramidecomplex van Gizeh (ook wel de necropolis van Gizeh genoemd) in Egypte herbergt de Grote Piramide, de Piramide van Chefren en de Piramide van Menkaure, samen met de bijbehorende piramidecomplexen en de Grote Sfinx. Ze werden allemaal gebouwd tijdens de Vierde Dynastie van het Oude Koninkrijk van het oude Egypte, tussen c. 2600 - ca. 2500 voor Christus. De site bevat ook verschillende tempels, begraafplaatsen en de overblijfselen van een arbeidersdorp.
Het Groot Egyptisch Museum (GEM; Arabisch: المتحف المصرى الكبير al-Matḥaf al-Maṣriyy al-Kabīr), ook bekend als het Gizeh-museum, is een archeologisch museum in aanbouw in Gizeh, Egypte, ongeveer 2 kilometer (1,2 mijl) van de Piramidecomplex van Gizeh. Het museum zal meer dan 100.000 artefacten uit de oude Egyptische beschaving herbergen, waaronder de volledige collectie van Toetanchamon, en veel stukken zullen voor het eerst worden tentoongesteld.[4] Met een vloeroppervlak van 81.000 m2 zal het het grootste archeologische museum ter wereld zijn.[5] Het wordt gebouwd als onderdeel van een nieuw masterplan voor het Gizeh-plateau, bekend als "Gizeh 2030".

If you have only one day in Egypt you must visit those two places they are close to each other but you will spend the whole day there
A fantastic guides trip with someone who knows and loves her place and want to ensure that you have a great time in Cairo. I will definitely come back again for more with these trips.
Amazing day as you were going to see the pyramids and sphinx! Hotel pick-up very convenient. Be prepared to set your schedule though. We were extremely rushed. We didn’t spend the time there we expected. We had traveled around the world to seek this experience and take it all in. We arrived at sphinx for a quick picture and then had to rush into car. Yes it is crowded. We thought we were driving to park and get out or go around and we exited. What?! We were in shock in the car. Same at museum. We were taking out time to see the many incredible artifacts and felt rushed. Camel ride a must do as cool experience. Don’t go with homemade lunch. It was good but took away our time and what the rush was over. Too much personal talk and not much talk of history behind pyramids.
Had a great day with Marwa Galal as my guide. Had to pinch myself I was seeing the wonderful pyramids and then onto the spectacular and new Grand Museum. Thanks Virtue Tours and thanks Marwa. Pick up was good, driver excellent (watch out though, sometimes not all the seat belts work)

It was an exceptional tour and everything was wonderful The pyramids are very beautiful and we were able to enter inside the pyramid It was a wonderful experience and also in the Grand Egyptian Museum there are historical jewelry and very small antiquities It was a wonderful day thank you

My guide was Samira . I was the only tourist that has booked that day. Thus I got a privat tour. I liked it very much. Samira has deep knowledge about the ancient Egypt. She knows many details and facts. She also took care that I could make a lot of really nice photos. Lunch was also very good.

tailored to our needs. Marwa, our guide, was extremely knowledgable and we learned a lot. Water was provided in the nicely air conditioned car. Also, when we mentioned that we would need a nice coffee, Marwa made sure that we would take a break and get some. The buffet lunch was very high quality and all in all, the sites visited (Sakkara, Memphis and the pyramids) were stunning! We were not at all pressured to by anything anywhere and Marwa took lots of great pictures of us :) Thank you for the wonderful day!
