Na hotel pick-up in een comfortabel voertuig met airconditioning en ga verder met de sightseeing tour van Golden City, waaronder Golden Fort ( Sonar Kila ), Jain Tempel in het Fort, Nathmal Ji Ki Haveli, Patwa Ki Haveli, Mandir Palace, de oude markt van Jaisalmer en Gadisagar Lake voor een prachtige zonsondergang vanaf het meer. U reist in comfort in een voertuig met airconditioning en geniet van het gemak van hotel pick-up en drop-off. Later op de dag kunt u genieten van een middag winkelen in Jaisalmer, waar u een verleidelijke verscheidenheid aan goederen vindt. Het fort van Jaisalmer is een levend stedelijk centrum, met ongeveer 3000 mensen die binnen de muren wonen. Het is bezaaid met smalle kronkelende straatjes, omzoomd met huizen en tempels - samen met een groot aantal handwerkwinkels, pensions en restaurants. Je komt het fort binnen vanuit het oosten, vlakbij Gopa Chowk, en passeert vier enorme poorten op de zigzaggende route naar het bovenste gedeelte. De laatste poort komt uit op het plein dat het centrum van het fort vormt, Dashera Chowk.
Deze prachtige haveli is gelegen in het hart van de stad in kleine straatjes. Particulier eigendom 19e-eeuwse haveli bekend om sierlijke exterieur houtsnijwerk en unieke architectuur.
De grootste vis in de haveli (traditionele, rijkelijk versierde woning) vijver is Patwa-ki-Haveli, die uittorent boven een smal steegje, met zijn ingewikkelde metselwerk als honingkleurig kant. Verdeeld in vijf secties, werd het gebouwd tussen 1800 en 1860 door vijf Jain-broers die hun fortuin verdienden met brokaat en sieraden. Het is allemaal erg indrukwekkend van buitenaf; maar de eerste van de vijf secties, het particuliere Kothari's Patwa-ki-Haveli Museum, roept rijkelijk het leven van de 19e eeuw op en is de enige die het betalen waard is. Andere secties omvatten twee grotendeels lege, door de overheid beheerde 'musea' en twee particuliere secties met winkels.
Een prominente bezienswaardigheid in deze spectaculaire erfgoedstad is het Mandir-paleis, dat al meer dan twee eeuwen de residentie was van de heersers van Jaisalmer. Mandir Palace is een prachtig gebeeldhouwd architectonisch wonder van sierlijke balkons, luifels en fijn gesneden schermen die een hoogtepunt van lokaal vakmanschap vertegenwoordigen in zijn beste en puurste vorm. Een opvallend kenmerk van het Mandir-paleis is de toren genaamd 'Badal Vilas', die opvalt als het hoogste bouwwerk onder het stadsfort op de heuveltop.
Gadi Sagar-meer ten zuiden van de stad Jaisalmer. Gadi Sagar, een regenwatermeer van Jaisalmer, ligt in een rustige en koele omgeving. Dit sylvan-meer wordt omringd door talloze tempels en heilige heiligdommen. Het water van dit meer is glashelder. Watersporten zoals varen kunnen in dit meer worden gedaan. Het bevat de watervoorziening van de hele stad. Er zijn talloze trekvogels rond het meer te zien. Er is ook een beroemde Krishna-tempel gebouwd bovenop de gele zandstenen poort.

Great city tour experience in Jaisalmer! Everything was well organized and perfect for exploring many highlights in a short time. We visited the Golden Fort, Jain Temple, Patwon Ki Haveli, Gadisagar Lake, and ended with a beautiful sunset—it was a really nice flow throughout the day. The car was comfortable with AC, and hotel pickup/drop-off made everything easy and convenient. I also enjoyed the shopping part—lots of interesting local items like silver jewelry, handicrafts, and textiles. Overall, a very enjoyable and hassle-free tour. Highly recommended if you want to see the best of Jaisalmer in one day!

Fantastic experience. Kamal took care of every detail from picking me up to dropping me off on the bus back. Padam was my Guide and was excellent. I explain everything in detail and take myself to local places. I was not taken anywhere for “tourists” where you are forced to shop. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Suresh ji from DIH was our guide for this Jodhpur tour. It was a 3-day trip including all scenic spots of Jodhpur. Our stay arrangement was done by DIH along with airport pick and drop. Suresh ji made us feel quite comfortable. He was caring and friendly and knew the place in and out. The best part was that he managed the entire day so well that we had nothing to worry and just enjoy the places and food. He took us to various food joints in old city of Jodhpur which I don’t think I would be able to explore alone. I am thankful to DIH for such great experience.

I visited Jaipur with some of my friends in Jan 2023. Jaipur has always been my favourite destination. DIH helped me to cover most offbeat destinations in the city. I had specific choices in the trip including monuments, shopping, local food, wildlife spots in the city. So, I requested for a guide also for the trip. Sher Singh, a local from Jaipur was our guide for these 4 days trip in Jaipur. Anokhi Museum of Hand Printing, monkey temple, panna meena ka kund, Gandhi bazar, elephant camp were major highlights of our trip. I had a great experience taking DIH’s services.
