Onze toegewijde Reflections Tour Guide begint uw verkenning van de Westelijke Jordaanoever van Luxor door u op te halen bij uw Luxor-hotel of Nijlcruise in een voertuig met airconditioning. Je meeslepende reis begint met een bezoek aan de beroemde Vallei der Koningen, een begraafplaats met 63 graven. Deze koninklijke graven zijn versierd met ingewikkelde afbeeldingen van de Egyptische mythologie, die licht werpen op de overtuigingen van die tijd. Onder de beroemdste inwoners van de vallei valt koning Toetanchamon op.
Ga vervolgens naar de prachtige tempel van koningin Hatsjepsoet, ook wel bekend als Deir el Bahari. Er wordt aangenomen dat koningin Hatchepsut, wat 'Voorste van de Edele Dames' betekent, de eerste handelsroutes heeft geïnitieerd. Breng een uur door met het verkennen van deze opmerkelijke tempel.
Vervolg uw excursie naar de Kolossen van Memnon, torenhoge tweelingbeelden uitgehouwen uit kwartsietzandsteen, en pauzeer 30 minuten om hun grootsheid te bewonderen.
Na een lunchpauze gaat u verder naar het ontzagwekkende Medinet Habu. Deze tempel werd in opdracht van koning Ramses III gebouwd om zijn regering te herdenken en is een bewijs van zijn grootsheid. Geniet een uur lang van het verkennen van de ingewikkelde architectuur en geschiedenis.
Duik vervolgens in de geschiedenis van het oude arbeidersdorp in Deir el-Medina, de residentie van ambachtslieden, ambachtslieden en arbeiders die verantwoordelijk zijn voor het bouwen en decoreren van de koninklijke graven in de Vallei der Koningen. Breng een uur door met het ontdekken van hun manier van leven.
De Vallei diende als begraafplaats voor de koninginnen van het Nieuwe Rijk (circa 1539–1075 v.Chr.). Gelegen nabij de Vallei der Koningen, maakt het deel uit van de grotere Thebaanse necropolis. De site bevat meer dan 90 bekende graven, waarvan de beroemdste die van koningin Nefertari is, de vrouw van Ramses II. Haar graf staat bekend om zijn verbluffende muurschilderingen en ingewikkelde De graven zijn vaak rijkelijk versierd met scènes uit het Dodenboek, die de reis naar het hiernamaals uitbeelden.

Went to Luxor with Ahmed and Habibab and had a great day - safe driver and knowledgeable guide Said. Drinks in car and snacks WiFi etc etc could not wish for more and great character I recommend this tour Couldn't do enough for me

We had a wonderful day trip seeing all the beautiful sites Luxor has to offer! Our guide Nasser was fantastic and had many great stories to tell which were memorable as well as he included us in the storytelling! He is also very knowledge and can read hieroglyphics so it was interesting to know the real meanings rather than interpretations! Excellent hospitality as he was always checking we were comfortable and hydrated and even bought us ice cream as we drove back to the hotel! The sites are breathtaking and we had ample time to explore at all of them! It felt very calm and relaxing rather than feeling chaotic as it was a busy day! Would highly recommend to everyone!

We had a great day exploring the west bank of Luxor with Ammar. The sites we visited were fantastic and Ammar always gave us interesting explanations and we didn't feel rushed at all. An excellent experience. Highly recommended.

We had a private driver for a full day on the West Bank of Luxor and it was an excellent experience. The tour started at 6 a.m. and our driver Ahmed was punctual and very friendly. He shared little anecdotes here and there, which made the day even more enjoyable. He was very respectful and pleasant. We were able to discover some lesser-known places that are definitely worth a visit. This tour is highly recommended and Ahmed in particular was especially kind and helpful.

Highly enjoyable day. Well paced day covering lots of sights on the West Bank. Appreciated the adaptability as we got to add in some less visited sites. Our guide Abdelwahab was so knowledgeable and advised us on the best tombs etc to visit - he helped us avoid the big crowds. Allowed plenty of time at each site and it never felt rushed. Gave us so much information! After nearly 2 weeks in Egypt, I can honestly say he has been the best guide of the trip. Comfortable car with good driver too. Great value for money.
We had an amazing time with Azab our guide. He was very knowledgeable and attentive to all our needs. Before the tour began, we told him we wanted to take our time at each location and didn’t want to stop at any souvenir shops and he happily obliged. He waited for us patiently while we took photos, answered all our questions and even kindly bought us sugarcane juice even though it was Ramadhan and he was fasting! Amazing Egyptian hospitality. He also helped us shoo away any hagglers from disturbing us and brought us to different spots for pictures and history lessons. It was easily one of our best tours in Egypt. I highly recommend. If you are assigned Azab as your guide, count yourself lucky!🤭 you’ll have a great time. And Azab, if you read this, thank you for making us feel like family🫶🏻

Hands down the best tour in Luxor! The itinerary is fantastic – it covers all the major sites like the Valley of the Kings and Hatshepsut Temple, but also includes hidden gems like Medinat Habu and the Valley of the Artisans (Deir el-Medina). However, the absolute best part of the day was that the guide is a true expert! He truly is a walking encyclopedia! He knows so much about Egyptian history and answered all the questions with ease. He was also super funny and made the history come alive. His English is clear and excellent, so i understood everything perfectly. And the driver was a very safe and smooth driver who also had a great sense of humor! He made me feel comfortable and secure the entire trip. A perfect mix of learning and laughing.
