Nadat u om 9.00 uur bent opgehaald bij het hotel in het stadsgebied van Bangkok door een Engelssprekende gids, begint uw privérondleiding door de stad van een halve dag door Bangkok.
Je eerste stop is Wat Pho. Wat Pho, of de Tempel van de liggende Boeddha, is de meest gevestigde en grootste boeddhistische tempel in Bangkok. Het herbergt meer Boeddha-afbeeldingen dan welke andere tempel in Bangkok dan ook en beschermt de grootste Boeddha van Thailand.
Je blijft het Grand Palace bezoeken. Het Grand Palace was een voormalig woonarrangement voor koning Rama I en koning Rama V van het Rattanakosin-koninkrijk. Tegenwoordig wordt de plaats gebruikt voor het faciliteren van koninklijke diensten en het respecteren van de bezoekers van de heerser, staatsbezoekers en andere hoogwaardigheidsbekleders van buitenaf. Het is bovendien een plaats waar vóór de crematie het verblijf van heersers en hooggeplaatste personen uit de keizerlijke familie werd geregeld.
Blijf genieten van Wat Phra Kaew. De Wat Phra Kaew, ook wel "de tempel van de Smaragdgroene Boeddha" genoemd, gelegen op het terrein van het Grand Palace in Bangkok, is de meest gewijde tempel van Thailand en een verplichte reisbestemming voor Thaise boeddhisten. De tempel koestert het meest geliefde Boeddhabeeld van Thailand, de Smaragdgroene Boeddha. De foto bevindt zich in de ubosot (wijdingszaal), een buitengewoon fraai gebouw dat in de tweede helft van de achttiende eeuw werd gebouwd nadat koning Rama I Bangkok had opgericht als de nieuwe hoofdstad van Siam. De scheidingswanden van het gebouw in Rattanakosin-stijl zijn versierd met schilderijen.
Je volgende stop is Amulet Market. Een markt met amuletten en boeddhabeelden in Wat Ratchanadda biedt aanzienlijk meer dan alleen maar religieuze snuisterijen en afbeeldingen. Souvenirgedachten omvatten khon-covers die voorzichtig met de hand zijn gemaakt. Het is zeker een bijenkorf van actie met autoriteiten afkomstig uit het hele afgewerkte Thailand en die een groot aantal bahts verbranden voor een zeldzaam gewaardeerd uniek exemplaar. Er zijn een groot aantal bijzondere halskettingen, Boeddha's, beelden, sieraden van Thaise priesters enzovoort, beginnend vanaf een paar baht tot onbegrijpelijke kosten. Elk amulet is uniek en brengt een bepaald soort geluk met zich mee.
Vervolgens bezoekt u Wat Arun. Een van de bekendste bezienswaardigheden van Bangkok en bekend van talloze ansichtkaarten, de Wat Arun is vooral bekend om zijn monsterlijke prang, een hoogtepunt op de oever van de Chao Phra-rivier, gebouwd in Khmer-bouwstijl. De prang is met zijn hoogte van meer dan 80 meter de meest opmerkelijke in Thailand. De Wat Arun, algemeen bekend als "de Tempel van de Dageraad", is een van de slechts zes tempels van de meest verheven recensie van de vijfsterren Koninklijke Tempels, en vervolgens een van de meest gerespecteerde tempels van Thailand. Our guide Kit was very knowledgeable and kind, and answered all our questions. He even taught us a little Thai. He is a skilled photographer and took a million gorgeous photos of us at the various sights-they arrived promptly by email and we love looking at them. This tour would have been better if we would have been provided more than one bottle of water each. It was very hot and more than 5 hours. We would have appreciated a cooler in the car with ice and water.
We were very disappointed with this tour. We were ready at 9:00 for scheduled pick up. I messaged through the app at 9:10 and 9:30 without a reply. At that time I had the hotel call the tour company directly. They said they were short on English speaking guides and that traffic was bad. They offered to come at 10:30. A little after 11:00 we were finally picked up and started our time at the Grand Palace after 11:30. We chose the tour partly for the start time to avoid heat and crowds but ended up in the thick of it for the whole 41/2 hours. Our guide was very kind and filled in at the last minute (she was called at 9:30 after we contacted the tour operator). We did struggle to understand her at times so it’s unclear if she is usually one of the English speaking guides. The two stars is because we really liked her (otherwise would have been one).

Wonderful tour. Got to see so much. Our guide Kit was great. Very friendly and informative. Taught us a lot of the history and culture and tried to teach us some of the language. Would highly recommend this tour.
Great half day tour to see the major highlights. Came here on a quick break from a business trip and was able to see a lot, even with the Bangkok traffic Kitsiree was awesome and I learned a lot about Bangkok.

So glad that we did a private tour, that pickup us up from the hotel, own private SUV, driver and guide and customised to include our own private boat tour and no lines anywhere. It was a sweatingly hot day and I don't think we would have managed to see the sites without the private tour. Kit the guide and Kate the driver were great.
