Het Balatonmeer is de essentie van de Hongaarse landelijke schoonheid. Hongarije's versie van Provance. U zult genieten van een prachtig uitzicht, kleine dorpjes met eeuwenoude witgekalkte huizen, en verbazingwekkende formaties van de natuur. We passeren de prachtig gerenoveerde Abdij van Tihany, die 1000 jaar geleden werd opgericht. Voor 8 euro per persoon kunnen we kijken naar het chique barokke interieur. De tour is gevuld met schoonheden, interessante geschiedenis en (als je je aanmeldt door ons een bericht te sturen) zeer goede wijn! De uitzichten, de geweldige gastronomie, de frisse wijnen, de charme van de dorpen en het historische en architectonische erfgoed van de regio zijn allemaal goede redenen om hier een uitstapje te maken. Wilt u een andere starttijd? Het is mogelijk om de tour overal tussen 06.00 en 23.00 uur te starten. Stuur ons gewoon een bericht na boeking, als u een andere starttijd wilt.

Deze tour is de mooiste op dit moment. Prachtige lentekleuren, met veel bloemen, perfect weer. Eerste stop : we stoppen op een mooie, schilderachtige plek aan het Balatonmeer. Dit is meestal een korte stop van 5 - 10 minuten. De aangegeven reistijd van 90 minuten is inclusief de reistijd.
Een onvergetelijk uitzicht op het Balatonmeer. Het meer is het mooist in oktober, met geweldige herfstkleuren, vooral op zonnige dagen.
Vervolgens brengen we u naar Balatonfüred om deze nobele stad met veel herenhuizen en een pittoreske promenade te bekijken. Het mooie centrum en de prachtige villa's en herenhuizen zullen zeer waarschijnlijk je hart stelen!
Wandelen door de straten van het mooiste dorp van Hongarije. U kunt ook de beroemde producten uit de regio proberen, zoals lavendelbier, lavendellimonade, lavendelchocolade, lavendelgelato....
Het klooster werd bijna duizend jaar geleden gesticht. We kunnen de prachtig versierde barokke kerk ook van binnen bekijken als we een kaartje kopen. (8 euro per persoon.) Dit geeft ons ook de mogelijkheid om de tentoonstelling over de geschiedenis van de abdij te bekijken.
Op weg naar huis gaan we met de veerboot die het meer oversteekt.

Auti was right on time picking us up at our hotel. He was a great driver and told us interesting things about Hungary. We had a lovely lunch overlooking Lake Balaton in Tihanyi a beautiful village where lavender grows. The village was nice to walk around and the monastery was a beautiful sight as well. For those who want to briefly and thoroughly know the area of Lake Balton, this is the way. A trip of just over an hour, boarding the car on a ferry, visiting the major towns of the peninsula, Tiananmen and Baltonford. In October this was a time off for a seaside holiday that was quite cold. But the throwing colors are lovely. The driver Attila was excellent. Recommended a restaurant among the groves. It was great. Not very expensive. Drive carefully and safely.

We had the most amazing experience with our guide, Balazs, on a day trip from Budapest to Lake Balaton. He picked us up in his beautifully restored 1965 mint green Volvo, which was such a unique and fun way to start the journey. Driving through Hungary in this epic classic car made us feel like celebrities — even coming from Hollywood, California, people were snapping photos of us everywhere we went! Balazs is a fantastic guide – knowledgeable, engaging, and passionate about sharing his local history and culture. Along the way, he gave us fascinating insights into both Budapest and Balaton, and he always made sure we were comfortable and enjoying ourselves. He took us to the most gorgeous lunch spot at Echo in Balaton, where the food and views were equally incredible. We crossed the lake, drank fresh sparkling water straight from the ground, and even watched the graceful brown swans. Every stop felt thoughtfully chosen and special. What really stood out was Balazs himself – friendly, personal, and accommodating to our requests, always going the extra mile to make the day perfect. By the end, it felt like we were exploring with a friend rather than just a guide. This tour was truly a highlight of our time in Hungary, and we can’t recommend Balazs highly enough!

Our family had a fantastic tour to Lake Balaton. The lake is lovely and our guide was fantastic. He changed the tour up and took us to a winery bc we said we like wine. He was so nice to my son and a great guide. He took us to a lovely restaurant on the lake. We all really enjoyed the day.
