Je laat Rome ronddrijven met onze comfortabele schildpaddenauto's. Je ontdekt hoeken en gaten van de Eeuwige Stad buiten de gebaande paden. Voel je vrij om je route naar wens aan te passen. Uw eigen privégids zal zijn/haar best doen om uw wensen te vervullen. De Italiaanse proeverij, Rome en zijn geest en een lekkere gelato zullen de extra ingrediënten zijn voor je onvergetelijke ervaring.

Nadat we u hebben opgehaald bij uw accommodatie in Rome, ontvangen wij u veilig aan boord van de GolfCar. We beginnen door de hoeken en gaten van Rome te rijden. Uw privégids geeft u alle informatie over de pleinen, fonteinen, tempels en kerken die u tegenkomt. Het eerste plein dat je tegenkomt is het imposante Piazza Venezia, gedomineerd door het Victoriaanse. Aan de ene kant van het Piazza bevindt zich het Italiaanse Graf van de Onbekende Soldaat, het "Altare della Patria", onderdeel van het Monument voor Vittorio Emanuele II, de eerste koning van Italië.
Nadat u door de spectaculaire straat van de Keizerlijke Fora bent gegaan, wordt u geconfronteerd met het eeuwenoude imposante scenario van zijn majesteit: het Colosseum. Je rijdt langzaam rond in de arena van de Gladiatoren. Geen betere manier om zo’n solide en onsterfelijk staaltje architectuur te bewonderen. We kunnen ook stoppen op het terras van het Colosseum om wat foto's te maken als je dat wilt.
Als we het Colosseum-plein verlaten, verlaten we de gebaande paden richting meer archeologische hoogtepunten. Je ziet de Boog van Costantine, de enorme Palatijn, het Acqueduct gebouwd door Nero en het grootste entertainmentgebouw ooit gebouwd, het Circus Maximus.
We zien nu in de verte de omtrek van het gigantische thermale bad, gebouwd door keizer Caracalla. We stoppen, het is tijd om via de woorden van je gids iets meer te leren over de levensstijl van de Romeinen.
Terug aan boord van je kleine schildpaddenauto rijd je nu naar het zuiden. Ondergedompeld in de rust van een groene en rustige bubbel realiseer je je dat we door de oudste straat ooit gebouwd rijden, de Via Appia. We stoppen voor wat historische informatie en enkele gedenkwaardige foto's.
Laten we rond de onsterfelijke muur van Rome rijden totdat we een piramide bereiken. Ja, een tweeduizend jaar oude piramide midden in het moderne Romeinse verkeer. Je gids zal je verrassen met zijn verhaal.
Nu is het eindelijk tijd voor een caffè, gelato, cappuccino, cornetto, wijn of wat je maar wilt. Na een paar uur hoogtepunten uit de geschiedenis en archeologie, heb je een pauze verdiend!
We rijden weer in onze grappige auto en landen op de top van de Aventijnheuvel, klaar om de schoonheid van de Oranjetuin te bewonderen met zijn adembenemende uitzicht over Rome. Met de ogen en het hart vol van alle Romeinse mooie plekjes die je gezien hebt, brengen wij je terug naar het door jou aangegeven afleveradres.

Just finished the tour with Marco. It was the evening private tour and it was an enclosed golf cart car so it was lovely and out of the elements. Marco was fabulous he was very knowledgable and entertaining.He took us for coffee and pastries at his favourite bakery. we went all over Rome it was really, really good. We really enjoyed it and would recommend this to anyone especially in his little car thanks again, Marco

This was an amazing way to see a lot in a morning! Because the cart could go where buses could not we saw far more of ‘real Rome’. Andi, our guide was so knowledgeable and told us loads of interesting facts. We were so lucky to have such a knowledgeable and lovely guide. Thank you! The coffee stop was also great. We would not hesitate to recommend this trip and would certainly do it again if available in other cities or if we return to Rome.

This was the perfect way to see all the sights and learn some interesting information about Rome, without having to walk miles. Our guide was excellent (I'm so sorry I don't recall his name). He took us to some beautiful places we would had never known about. He was knowledgeable, kind and a good driver. Highly recommend.

What a treat! The best way to see real Italian life-from the back of a horse! We traversed through towns on sidewalks and roads, up and down a few mountains through park trails and saw some memorable sights. Don’t worry about the steep and rocky terrain, these horses are 4 wheel drive, not to mention quiet and happy to be working. Our guides exuded real Italian warmth. I would ride with them again and again. God willing I will return to this blessed part of the world.
With only a day to visit Rome my husband and I were totally impressed with the electric golf cart tour as well as our guide Riccardo! It was easy to book the tour and Valerio, one of the owners, was very helpful with locating a parking garage we could book and pay for in advance. Riccardo met us at the car park and was extremely flexible with what we could see and do while on the tour. This is not a cookie cutter tour - we were able to avoid crowds of tourists and see most of the important sites in Rome during the 3 hour tour. We were treated to a drink and sandwich a couple of hours in! Highly recommend this tour to get the most of a day in the city or to get your bearings in anticipation of a longer visit. Riccardo spoke perfect English, was very personable, and knew his history of Rome. Grazie!

Fantastic guide, great information, took us to places we would never have seen without him, only issue was buggy broke down 15mins before the end, but guide took us for a short walk by the forum while it was sorted out. it’s not always about the problem, it’s how it’s overcome, and we left two very happy tourists.
We're so glad you enjoyed the tour. But actually the Guide himself unfortunately made a mistake (he miscalculated the energy driving all the tour in a max Power engine. He didn't follow the procedure given). So the car didn't break but he, actually, created the issue. This Is the first time one of our guides did such a bad mistake. We're Sorry. He won't be anymore involved in that tour.
Our private golf cart tour with Riccardo was fantastic. He picked us up from the hotel on time and showed us the places we wanted to see in Rome and much more! It was super interesting and we were driven through alleys in districts that we would never have reached otherwise. We had lots of photo stops and a short drink/ice cream break in a local bar. We would book it again anytime, not everyone does this tour, top recommendation!
