Tijdens deze privétour ontdekt u het prachtige landschap van Catalonië tijdens een boeiende wijntour waarbij we u meenemen door de wijngaarden in Penedes, een regio die algemeen wordt erkend als de thuisbasis van de meest moderne en innovatieve Spaanse telers. We zullen drie van de belangrijkste familiebedrijven in het land verkennen en leren over het complexe proces van het maken van wijn en cava (Catalaanse champagne). In elke kelder zal een wijnexpert hun individuele unieke processen uitleggen en ons leren hoe we hun verschillende variëteiten kunnen herkennen en we krijgen het voorrecht om wijnen en cava's in elk te proeven. Naast de wijnmakerijen stoppen we tijdens de lunch om een driegangenmaaltijd te nuttigen in een lokaal restaurant. Deze privétour zorgt voor een persoonlijke en opmerkelijke ervaring.

Begin uw dag met ophalen bij uw hotel of appartement in Barcelona en vertrek in een comfortabel voertuig naar de regio Penedes, op minder dan een uur van Barcelona. Lange tijd beschouwd als een van de beste wijnproducerende regio's van het land, is het ook een van de oudste wijnbouwgebieden in Europa. De regio Penedes produceert al sinds de Romeinse tijd wijn en verkoopt tegenwoordig meer dan honderd wijnmakerijen in meer dan 380 miljoen flessen. Eerst ga je naar een wijnmakerij met kenmerkende wijnen op een terrein van 40 hectare biologische landbouw waar je de invloed van de essentie van de Middellandse Zee kunt voelen. In feite was het in de Romeinse tijd een mutatio (rustgebied) en maakte het deel uit van de Via Augusta. Vanaf het begin van de jaren 1300 tot vandaag is het in handen geweest van dezelfde familie.
Vervolg de tour en bezoek de eerste wijnmakerij in de Penedes die ecologische wijn produceerde voor de Deense markt. Vanaf het begin van de 20e eeuw runt dezelfde familie het bedrijf en gebruikt 100 procent van hun velden voor ecologische productie met 15 verschillende druivenrassen.
Neem een pauze en ga naar een lokaal restaurant voor een heerlijk driegangenmenu. Geniet van de exclusieve gastronomie van het gebied.
Bezoek ten slotte een wijnmakerij die bekend staat om zijn hoogwaardige producten. Deze wijnmakerij, met ecologische landbouw en een prachtig uitzicht op de berg Montserrat, heeft enkele van de oudste wijnstokken die er zijn. De tour eindigt hier en neem je retourtransport terug naar je hotel of appartement in Barcelona waar de tour begon

Felciano not only introduced us to three great wineries and some fantastic wines, but he also told us about the history of Catalonia and its people. This private tour was a unique opportunity to explore the beautiful wine region outside of Barcelona while traveling in comfort and conversing effortlessly with our wonderful guide Miguel. Miguel went out of his way to make this experience memorable for us. He was engaging, knowledgeable, professional and enthusiastic. Miguel’s passion for Catalan culture added to the enjoyment of the tour. He took every opportunity to customize the trip to our specific needs and interests. As a bonus, he has a photographers eye and often asked if he could take a photo of us with spectacular scenery as a backdrop, leaving us with nice mementos of the day. We learned much about the process and challenges of creating fine organic wine from the three wineries we visited. It was a wonderful day and we highly recommend this tour and tour company!

Very impressed with this tour. Our tour guide was Feliciano and from the second we met up with him he was absolutely phenomenal. He is extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the city of Barcelona and the wines all over the region. He gave us a lot of useful information about the area and places to have some good food and drinks. Feliciano was even so sweet he offered to take multiple photos of us for our memory. We ended up taking home 8 bottles of wine and local olive oil and honey. We went to three beautiful wineries out in the Penedes region and we were blown away by the beauty of it all. Our lunch was delicious and my boyfriend who is a picky eater loved it. They gave us plenty of options to choose from for lunch. I would highly recommend this tour because you will not be disappointed.
