Johor Bahru is de meest zuidelijke en tweede grootste stad van Maleisië. Het is een van de meest bezochte steden ter wereld en de thuisbasis van de drukste internationale landgrensovergang ter wereld. Met meer winkels dan welke andere staat in het land en veel culturele bezienswaardigheden, is er genoeg te zien en te doen tijdens een bezoek hier. Johor Bahru ligt net naast Singapore, dat u gemakkelijk kunt bereiken met behulp van onze transportdiensten. Bekend als Johor Bahru's Heritage Food Trail - Deze straat is gerenoveerd om het erfgoed van de Straat-Chinezen en Maleiers te herdenken. Een deel van de gebouwen en winkelpanden wordt in de oorspronkelijke staat bewaard. Er zijn hier een aantal oude, beroemde levensmiddelenwinkels en onlangs geopende hipstercafés.
De Laman Mahkota Istana Bukit Serene, bekend als het koninklijk paleis en de officiële residentie van de sultan van Johor, is een van de beroemdste en must-see bezienswaardigheden in Johor. Versierd met gedetailleerd en uniek art-deco-geïnspireerd esthetisch houtsnijwerk. Degenen die van creatieve creaties houden, moeten een bezoek brengen en genieten van het majestueuze uitzicht op de boog en het paleis.
Een van de meest interessante en historische moskeeën in de omgeving, de Sultan Abu Bakar Staatsmoskee, is een van de architectonische hoogtepunten van Johor Bahru, dat aan de overkant van het water van Singapore ligt. Naast de ongewone buitenkant, met zijn gele stucwerk, vergulde bogen en rustige tuinen, is de uitgestrekte gebedsruimte voorzien van gecanneleerde zuilen, fonkelende kroonluchters en een vergulde minbar (preekstoel) uit Turkije. De onlangs gerenoveerde moskee biedt plaats aan ongeveer 2.000 gelovigen.
De Arulmigu Sri Rajakaliamman-tempel, gebouwd op basis van het artistieke concept van kleurrijke spiegels, is gecertificeerd als 'De eerste glazen tempel ter wereld'. De tempel wordt ook erkend in The Malaysia Book Of Record en is zelfs een van de oudste tempels in Johor Bahru City. Deze tempel werd opgericht in 1922 en heeft een hoge en unieke historische waarde. Deze glazen tempel heeft de aandacht getrokken van veel toeristen tijdens hun bezoek aan Johor Bahru. Een uniek kenmerk van deze prachtige tempel is dat 95% van de muren, het plafond en de pilaren bedekt zijn met glas-in-loodspiegels die zijn geïmporteerd uit Thailand, Japan en België. De schoonheid is origineel en een ervaring op zich!
Beleef een unieke en onvergetelijke tijd in Johor Bahru, Maleisië, bij Skyscape, de eerste luchtentertainmentruimte van de stad in Menara JLand. Een van de hoogtepunten is het Sky Bridge-uitkijkplatform, dat 149 meter boven de grond hangt met een glazen vloer en een prachtig uitzicht biedt over Maleisië en Singapore.

Andy was a great guide for our swift trip through Johor Baru. He met us on time during the hand off from Singapore, and took us off for a very full day of exploring this new and interesting land. From visiting the Royal Palace, to Muslim places of worship, local restaurants, and an absolutely sublime Buddhist temple, we really couldn’t have packed in more during our day in Malaysia. If you’re in Singapore, and are looking for something interesting to do for a day, I would highly recommend a trip to Johor Baru, and if you get the chance to do that, I would book Andy again!

We just returned to the USA from a family trip to Asia, and Andy was by far one of our best guides, if not THE best. Due to Singapore laws, Andy had to arrange a certified local taxi for pick-up and to cross the border. Joseph (the driver) was on time, spoke English, and was very pleasant. And then Andy was amazing! He has such a good energy and charisma, conversation with him was very informational and insightful. Communication was also very easy before, during, and after the tour. Very easy logistics to cross border into Malaysia. Nice mix of food, history, culture, and shopping. I really enjoyed hearing from Andy about life in Malaysia. Well worth the day trip. I was traveling in Singapore on business and had a weekend stayover. I decided to add in a day trip to Malaysia. Booked with only a few days notice. Andy, my guide, was very communicative and organized. He ensured I had all my paperwork in order for the border crossing. The pickup and border crossing went smoothly. We had a great day full of history and culinary sampling. Andy made recommendations of food to try. He was flexible with our schedule so I could hunt for a Geocache while in Malaysia.
