Op onze Secret Food Tour: Krakau, ontdek je onze rijke geschiedenis van koninklijke feesten en eenvoudige maaltijden, met familieverhalen verteld rond de tafel. Elk van de traditionele, heerlijke gerechten worden bereid met hoogwaardige ingrediënten en geserveerd door gastvrije, gastvrije lokale bevolking. Geniet van traditionele Poolse gerechten, te beginnen bij de Joodse wijk met zijn ongelooflijke pleinen, cafés en eten. U zult de authentieke Pierogi, lokale worst en soep, gerookte schapenkaas en een shot van een beroemde lokale gearomatiseerde wodka in een super coole bar niet missen; ons geheime gerecht garandeert dat u verliefd wordt op de stad Krakau. Als privétour werkt alles om je heen! Onze starttijden zijn veel makkelijker in de omgang, data kunnen vrij komen. Het is een veel intiemere en gezelligere ervaring. Je hoeft niet te schreeuwen over andere toeristen, je krijgt elke vraag beantwoord, en vertrekt zelf als een native!

We proberen een typische Zapiekanki terwijl we leren over de Joodse wijk en proberen lokale wodka in een old school locatie. We bezoeken dan ook onze Secret Spot!
We wandelen door Miodowa en proberen nog een paar lekkernijen.
We wandelen over de koninklijke straat, bekijken het kasteel waar de Draak vroeger lag en bezoeken een Milk Bar!
We ontdekken het Oude Marktplein: de plaats van de meeste “meesten”: de belangrijkste openbare ruimte in Krakau, het meest uitgestrekte Marktplein van middeleeuws Europa, het verzamelt alles!
We nemen een van de leukste straatjes van Polen en bereiken de Barbican waar onze tour eindigt!

Greg is AMAZING!! He is so friendly and personable. He kept us informed entertained and smiling. Greg is very knowledgeable about Krakòw and not only gave us a lovely food (and drink) tour but had a plethora of knowledge about Polish history and lore.

The secret food tour was really good. Our guide Hanna was very friendly and knowledgeable. She took us to some great places and we ate some delicious food. The portion sizes were very generous. A really nice mix of food to try along with a few cheeky shots whilst walking around this lovely city. It rained a little but that didn’t spoil our tour.

Delicious foods, great drinks and a little of history intertwined. Combine that with the beautiful host Ilona and it sure was a blast of an adventure. Even on a rainy day she would guide you through the delightful delights of Krakow. The hometown cheese was the best!

We booked the tour for the first full day of our 5-night break in Krakow, and are so glad we did. Our guide, Ilona, was great company, and exceptionally knowledgeable. We learned a lot about the history and culture of Krakow and Poland, and tried many different (and very generously sized!) dishes and drinks (we upgraded to the package including alcohol, and are very glad we did!). We visited lots of places I don’t think we would have known about had we not been on the tour, and Ilona also sent us details afterwards of other suggestions of places to visit off the beaten track, and we’ll definitely be going to some of those during our stay. We had a super time and would definitely recommend people consider the tour as a great introduction to this beautiful city. Top tip: don’t eat before the tour!! There is A LOT of food!

We’ve done around 6-7 secret food tours around Europe now and have always had an excellent experience and this tour more than lived up to the very high standard set! Our tour guide Ilona was great - she picked some excellent places with many dishes we’d never had before, as well as providing really detailed knowledge of the local area and history, and teaching us a lot about Polish food and drink culture - I would highly recommend! My only point of constructive feedback would be that the drinks upgrade didn’t include as much as I’ve experienced on other tours, I would have expected maybe one or two more drinks.

Very relaxing start with "breakfast" tasting and some vodka ☺️ be sure not to eat anything if your tour starts at 10:00. Ilona was fluent in english and a very good comunicator about the City, food, drinks and recommendations to restaurants and experiences. Higly recomended tour and guide. 10/10.
