Privétour met een personenauto en ervaren gids. De "Slea Head Drive" is een spectaculaire, schilderachtige route op het schiereiland Dingle in Zuidwest-Ierland. Een privétour is de perfecte manier om ervan te genieten. U kunt volledig verantwoordelijk zijn voor de route. Waar stoppen we voor foto's? Stop hier voor de lunch? Het is aan jou om te beslissen. De tour omvat bezienswaardigheden en attracties die u niet kunt bereiken met een bustour, bijvoorbeeld de Connor Pass.

De werkplaats van Dingle Crystal is een kleine familiezaak die wordt gerund door meester Sean met zijn zonen. We kunnen daar zien hoe meesterwerken verschijnen in de handen van een kunstenaar. Veel van die items kunnen we in de werkplaats bewonderen en zelfs bestellen voor de collectie.
De plaats die getuige was van de ontwikkeling van de eerste beschaving op het schiereiland Dingle. Hutten die eruitzien als grote bijenkorven, gebouwd met rotsen zonder mortel.
Steek over bij Slea Head. Het meest westelijke puntje van het schiereiland Dingle. Prachtig uitzicht op de Atlantische Oceaan en de Blasket-eilanden. Dat is het punt waarop we de kans krijgen om dolfijnen of zelfs walvissen te zien.
Geweldige audiovisuele presentatie gericht op lokale plaatsen. Blasket-eilanden, Skellig-eilanden en lokale geschiedenis. Caféwinkel, restaurant en toiletvoorziening.
Galarus Oratorium is een bijenkorfhut uit de 6e eeuw. Is eigenlijk de eerste christelijke kerk, monastieke kant in Ierland. Galarus is een verbazingwekkend voorbeeld van hoog niveau van techniek uit de oudheid. Gebouw als een kapel is gebouwd met perfect bijpassende rotsen zonder mortel. Alle rotsen staan in een bepaalde hoek waardoor er geen water door kan stromen. Binnen is het altijd droog, zelfs tijdens zware regenval. Dit is de geschiedenis van keltische ingenieurs die nergens anders te zien is.
Kilmalkedar wordt geassocieerd met Saint Brendan the Navigator. tweede bisschop van Ierland na Saint Patrick. Ook met de plaatselijk bekende Saint Maolcethair (Malkedar) die stierf in 636. Gebouw dat er nog steeds staat dateert uit de 12e eeuw. Al 900 jaar oud is in perfecte staat. Kerkhof rondom is ook oud met echte keltische stenen zonnewijzer (tikt nog steeds)
Laten we een prachtig uitzicht zien vanaf 1200 voet boven de zee, omdat we er heel dicht bij zijn. Castlegregory Village en de Noord-Atlantische Oceaan aan de ene kant en de charmante stad Dingle en de baai van Dingle erachter.

Four adults travelling throughout Ireland scheduled a private tour of Dingle Peninsula. Our driver, Peter, was very knowledgable and accommodating. Before and during the tour, he provided ideas and support for the places we wanted to see. Unfortunately, we had very poor weather the day of the tour, so there were many vistas that were just not possible. However, we made the best of it and enjoyed the day.

This was an absolutely fantastic experience for me and my friends during our stay in Killarney. Our guide, Peter, was nothing but incredibly kind, flexible, and full of knowledge on the history of Ireland and the Dingle Peninsula. We stopped at numerous spots including Inch Beach, Slea Head, DingleCrystal, and, per our request, a sheep farm (we got to hold lambs!). Being able to drive the perimeter of the entire peninsula was beautiful. Peter gave us an excellent experience of all and truly made us appreciate the rich history behind it. I would highly highly recommend booking a tour with Peter as your guide—we loved this tour so much and we loved Peter! Without a doubt the highlight of our week in Ireland.

What an amazing trip! My friend and I were able to see so much in one day and yet it never felt rushed. Our guide was knowledgeable and friendly, stopping at last-minute locations like cliff-side beaches at our request. We were very lucky, with incredible weather and views the whole day. If you don’t have a car or don’t want to risk driving the narrow roads along the ocean, this tour is a must for seeing a stunning part of Ireland.
