Onze gidsen maken de Grote Oceaan interessant en enthousiast met prachtige scheepswrakverhalen en aboriginal geschiedenis. De Great Ocean Road Privétour kan in omgekeerde richting worden gedaan en vermijdt de drukte, vooral in het hoogseizoen met een geweldig landschap, verhalen en wilde dieren in een ontspannen rit die u bij elke bocht zal laten snakken. De Great Ocean Road is een 244 kilometer lang stuk dat slingert door geheime baaien vol met rotspoelen, imposante zandstenen kliffen, weelderige regenwouden en verlaten stranden. Bezaaid met schilderachtige badplaatsen, kustwandelingen en scheepswrakken, is de regio immens populair. We hebben een vloot van 7 en 11 zits bussen / voertuigen voor uw groep en de prijs is voor de chauffeur / gids en voertuig, niet per persoon. Hoe groter de groep, hoe beter de waarde.

De Great Ocean Road Memorial Archway werd gebouwd in 1939 om de mannen te herdenken die in de Eerste Wereldoorlog waren verloren, en markeert de toegangspoort tot deze bekende kustroute. Je gids zal individuele, familie- of groepsfoto's maken met het Great Ocean Road-bord op de achtergrond aan de Memorial Arch, of je eigen selfies maken. Een echte ansichtkaartfoto !!
Een spectaculair uitzicht op de oceaan met panoramisch uitzicht op de Great Ocean Road en de eerste permanente rustplaats van veroordeelde William Buckley. Houd uw camera gereed om geweldige foto's te maken van de kliffen langs de Great Ocean Road en de weidse oceaanachtergrond. Ooit gehoord van het Australische gezegde: "Je hebt twee kansen voor Buckley en geen"? Welnu, je gids zal het fascinerende verhaal van William Buckley en zijn verhaal over overleven tegen alle verwachtingen in met je delen.
We stoppen om kangoeroes te zoeken, terwijl we genieten van gratis ochtendthee aan de oevers van de pittoreske rivier de Anglesea. Anglesea is een prachtig kustplaatsje omgeven door bos en kustlandschap, met de uitgestrekte zandvlakte rond de monding van de rivier de Anglesea een populaire plek voor toeristen.
et tussen hoge gombomen, is Lorne een iconische badplaats en een populaire bestemming voor veel Melbournian's. We rijden de berg op naar een afgelegen uitkijk om te genieten van een prachtig uitzicht op de Great Ocean Road. Je gids zal wat tijd nemen om uitleg te geven over de lokale Aboriginal-cultuur, voedsel en bushmedicijnen.
Verken een koel gematigd regenwoud van beukenbomen en bergasgombomen in het Great Otway National Park. Deze wandeling van 20 minuten langs een mix van promenades en grindpaden voert je langs een dalbodem in een deel van dit oude regenwoud. Zie de gigantische regenwoudbomen - sommige tot 300 jaar oud - oprijzen door de nevels en een luifel creëren voor de prachtige reeks varentuinen en mos op de bosbodem. Als je geluk hebt, kun je enkele van de lokale natuurlijke dieren in het wild zien, waaronder moeraswallabies, koala's, ringstaartopossa's en grijze kangoeroes.
Tijd om Koala's te spotten in hun natuurlijke omgeving, hangend in de eucalyptusbomen en als je geluk hebt kun je hier dicht bij King Parrots en Crimson Rosellas komen. Kennett River ligt in een prachtige omgeving tussen het bos en de zee. Deze plek is altijd een favoriet onder onze gasten tijdens onze Great Ocean Road-tour.
Het kleine stadje Lavers Hill is het hoogste punt op de Great Ocean Road en ligt in het binnenland tussen Apollo Bay en de glorieuze Twaalf Apostelen. Als je nog niet hebt gegeten, is dit een geweldige plek om een hapje te eten. Lunch op eigen kosten.
Een iconisch beeld. Neem de tijd om de prachtige kalkstenen zeestapels te bewonderen die oprijzen uit de Zuidelijke Oceaan en de officiële twaalf apostelen vormen; momenteel zijn er nog acht apostelen over, waarvan de negende in juli 2005 dramatisch is ingestort. Deze monolieten zijn gecreëerd door de voortdurende erosie van kalkrotsen meer dan 10-20 miljoen jaar geleden; de stormachtige Zuidelijke Oceaan en windvlagen hebben geleidelijk de zachtere kalksteen uitgehold, waardoor grotten in de kliffen en vervolgens bogen zijn gevormd, totdat rotsstapels tot 45 meter hoog zijn gemaakt, volledig geïsoleerd van de kust. Bekijk de Twelve-apostelen bij zonsondergang of zonsopgang (tijdens onze tweedaagse tour) om de veranderende kleuren te zien van donker in de schaduw tot een schitterend zandgeel in de volle zon. De natuur in al zijn glorie.
De Loch Ard Gorge is een favoriet vertrekpunt langs de Great Ocean Road. De pittoreske kloof wordt geflankeerd door twee geelgekleurde rotswanden, een gladde baai en een inlaat van helder, blauw water. Wandel over het pad naar de kloof, geniet van de natuurlijke schoonheid en bekijk de locatie van het beroemdste scheepswrak van Australië - het Loch Ard - en hoor het verhaal van verlies en overleving. Loch Ard Gorge is het begin van de apostelen vanaf het andere einde, waar u ook de rotsformaties Razor Back en Honey Pots kunt zien.
Bekijk deze zeestapels niet alleen vanaf het uitkijkplatform. Laten we de 80 treden naar het strand beklimmen en van dichtbij en persoonlijk kennis maken met de ontzagwekkende rotsformaties. Maak verbazingwekkende foto's van het strand en kijk terug naar de apostelen om je bezoek aan de Great Ocean Road te herinneren. (let op: deze kan op verschillende tijdstippen van het jaar gesloten zijn, uw chauffeur zal adviseren als deze open is)
Colac ligt op een enorme, rijke vulkanische vlakte en het gebied wordt voornamelijk gebruikt voor landbouw en pastorale doeleinden. Het is op weg naar huis naar Melbourne, dus een perfecte plek om je benen te strekken en een hapje te eten als je honger hebt. Colac biedt een verscheidenheid aan afhaalcafés, of als u wilt, kunnen we u terugbrengen naar de gewenste locatie binnen Melbourne CBD en kunt u dineren in een restaurant naar keuze. We have a group of 10 pax, including 4 elderly (above 70yo) and 2 kids (below 12). Our tour guide, Wes, took very good care of the entire group. He was really helpful in customising the experience, from taking off roads to do some koala and wallaby spotting to finding the perfect photo spots and places to eat. He is really patient as well in accommodating our requests for extra stop breaks, making our trip a really effortless and enjoyable one. I highly recommend taking this tour for families :)
Melbourne Touring Company exceeded all our expectations. We booked the Great Ocean Road tour with Melbourne Touring Company and had an outstanding experience today. Our driver and guide, Wes, was fantastic. He suggested doing the route counterclockwise to beat the crowds—a tip that made a real difference to our day. We got to Twelve Apostles first when the light was perfect, which made for incredible photos and atmosphere. What impressed us most was how Wes took us beyond the usual tourist stops. He knew all the hidden spots and beautiful lookouts that most visitors miss, and he even managed to find koalas and kangaroos in the wild for us to see. He shared wonderful stories along the way and was genuinely knowledgeable and kind, making the whole experience feel personal rather than like a standard tour. Seeing the wildlife was truly the cherry on top of an already amazing day. The planning stage was smooth too, thanks to John’s help. He gave us thoughtful advice that shaped our itinerary and made everything run smoothly. If you’re thinking about exploring the Great Ocean Road from Melbourne, don’t hesitate. We did a personal 2-day tour of the Great Ocean Road with Wes from Melbourne Touring Company as our guide. We chose this personal tour because we wanted to chose our itinerary, go at our own pace, and to be in a car by ourselves with someone else driving and not have to jockey for a seat in a tour bus. We got everything we wanted plus more! Wes was a fabulous guide. He initiated contact several days prior to our tour, then again the day before, informing us on what to expect, what he would bring, & what we needed to bring. Wes was very personable and incredibly informative throughout our two days together. He asked about our priorities and by the time we left him, we had ticked everything off our list! We saw so many animals in the wild- koalas, kangaroos, wallabies, an assortment of incredible birds, and even camels (did you know Australia has a huge population of feral camel that roam wild?), and all close up. He commented often that what we were doing was not something he could do on his bigger tours just because of the distance and timing which made us even happier about our decision to spend the extra money for a private tour. We stopped when we wanted, ate when we wanted, and saw everything we wanted. Thank you Wes for making our time in Australia an AMAZING trip!!

We did a 3 day, 2 night custom tour of the Mornington Peninsula and the Great Ocean Road. Our guide Wes was fantastic. We asked for a foodies and animals tour. We sighted dolphins, koalas and kangaroos and ate all kinds of meals. From 9 course meals to eating fish and chips and scallops pie on the beach . Doing a longer tour meant we really got a chance to experience Victoria at a deeper level. John who custom made our tour was really responsive and created a perfect tour Thank you Wes and John

We had a tour with Wes Albert and it was amazing. We started at 10am which was perfect for us, we skipped all the crowd and turístic buses. Wes was so profesional, full with tips and storys, knew exactly where to spot kangoroos akd koalas.

This was a fantastic tour that our group of 11 people, from Portugal, conducted with the “Melbourne Touring Company”! The driver and guide was very skilled in driving and managed to accomplish with expertise the entire scheduled itinerary. We saw wonderful landscapes on Great Ocean Road, very charming coastal villages and animals in their environment, of which I highlight the Koalas. Although it is a long day, you can go without fear, because the experience is worth living! We will keep in memory and photographic records the glorious moments of this day!
