Deze Experience is zorgvuldig ontworpen voor echte bergwandelaars. Deze ervaring biedt, naast de voordelen van wandelen in de bergen, een zeer direct contact met de voorouderlijke weidetradities van de dorpen door het bezoek aan hun kralen en schuilplaatsen, maar heeft ook een zeer sterke natuurlijke component van ontspanning tussen de lokale bevolking. Alles is geprogrammeerd in een tempo dat mensen in staat stelt om zonder haast van de plaatsen te genieten, zodat ze echt van deze plaatsen kunnen profiteren... Voor de liefhebbers van watervallen en lagunes is het ongetwijfeld een aanwinst aangezien er meerdere langs de route na de lunch zijn die niet binnen het bereik van de normale wandelaar liggen. Reisroute
Begin van de ervaring vanaf het ontmoetingspunt om 10:00 uur met alle deelnemers op weg naar Pedra Bela. Ga door verschillende picknickplaatsen en klim door een bos naar de top van de berg.
Plek met fantastisch uitzicht over de hele Gerês-vallei en Albufeira da Caniçada. Adembenemende landschappen waar het mogelijk is om enkele toppen van Serra do Gerês te zien. Start van de wandeling rond 10:45 uur die ons naar de Curral de Carvalhas das Éguas en zijn pastorale schuilplaats zal brengen. Na een korte stop om 11.25 uur gaan we naar Curral da Lomba do Vidoeiro waar we de oude schuilplaats kunnen zien, waar de herders de nacht doorbrachten. Nog een stop om de plaats te overdenken en om 11:50 uur beginnen we aan de laatste fase van de wandeling naar Prado da Teixeira die rond 12:25 uur aankomt, waar we zullen stoppen om te ontspannen in de schaduw van zijn imposante eiken in een groene weide, de beschutting van herders en absorberen de kracht van de omliggende landschappen. Een klein beekje dat daar stroomt, vormt een natuurlijke poel van zuiver en kristalhelder water waar het mogelijk is om een aantal mooie duikjes te nemen. Een echte bergoase. Tijd om te lunchen (picknick) en energie op te doen voor de rest van de dag.
Om 14.30 uur beginnen we aan een nieuwe wandeling die ons naar een van de grootste geheimen van Gerês brengt, de Fecha da Pombeira met zijn enorme waterval en zijn natuurlijke zwembad dat ze Cascata dos Hippies noemen. Een verplichte stop, niet alleen om te zwemmen, maar ook om na te denken over wat de natuur te bieden heeft. Rond 15.30 uur vervolgen we onze wandeling langs de rivierbedding waar we echte natuurlijke schatten zullen vinden tot we de Olympische lagune bereiken, een verplichte stop om te zwemmen en contact te maken met de natuur in zijn pure en wilde staat.
Om 16.30 uur is het tijd om de wandeling te hervatten naar een van de beroemdste watervallen in ons Nationaal Park, de Cascata do Arado, onderweg zullen we nog enkele andere lagunes en watervallen zien. Om 17.00 uur is het tijd om weer te stoppen bij een picknickplaats iets verderop waar een hapje wordt geserveerd met wijn, kaas, brood en worst om energie op te doen voor de laatste wandeling die ons terugbrengt naar het startpunt van de wandeling. Om 17.30 uur, met herstelde energie, tijd voor de laatste wandeling die ons terugbrengt naar de plaats waar we de dag begonnen bij Pedra Bela. Zodra we rond 18:45 het einde van deze rondwandeling hebben bereikt, keren we terug naar het ontmoetingspunt in het dorp Gerês.

Of the best experiences I've ever had in my life. We were surprised by the rain in the middle of the track and still decided to continue, which made the experience even more spectacular. Our guide (Rui) was very attentive and careful and led us to know wonderful landscapes. Experience 5 stars, I recommend.
Difficult access to go down to the bottom...I doubt there are other accesses to go... Recommended for agile people and equipped with good shoes. It is indicated that fatal accidents have already taken place... So go ahead with the utmost care.... After this important safety detail, the natural site is beautiful to be able to swim in these crystal clear waters and jump from the rocks.

This was truly an amazing trek! Our guide was very knowledgeable and very informative. We truly enjoyed the journey, it was by far our favorite experience during our trip to Portugal. If you are a hiker and want a very special experience I highly recommend this trip. When we were tired we took breaks, we brought food and our guide also brought a bunch of food to share with us. I was amazed at the beauty of this area. It was truly breathtaking and absolutely gorgeous!!!! The springs to drink from were fresh and delicious mineral rich water.
Gentleness , choice of route , the beautiful view despite the rain . The guide moved the intinerary so that we could enjoy the sun when it appeared and always showing us as much as possible.
Nelson our guide was very helpful and informative, also very easy to get along with. Showed us the least populated spots around the hike for beautiful views and refreshing dips in lagoons and waterfalls. Nelson has a deep passion for hiking and the culture of the place. He was also very accommodating for everyones needs and capabilities throughout the hike. We loved every bit of the journey with Nelsons guidance. I would recommend this trip to anyone seeking adventure and the best that Geres has to offer!!
Spectacular! I went on a trip with my wife and my dog. As soon as we met with Nelson and Rui I saw it was going to be a day to remember, because our puppy instantly became affectionate to them (rare thing). My wife and I became acquainted with absolutely charming parts of the Gerês, and even had to do some dives in refreshing waterfalls. Nelson and Rui, with their infinite sympathy and kindness, were the perfect guides for a relaxed and memorable walk. An experience that we will undoubtedly repeat!
The Peneda-Gerês National Park is one of the most amazing places to visit, its natural beauty is everywhere. However, Gerês also has its secrets. The private excursion through the Natural Cascades and Lagoas of Gerês is undoubtedly a spectacular experience to do, with friends, family and all adventurers and nature lovers! Wild and Free is an amazing team to do these adventures, show the corners and corners of all paths and make us feel safe and serene in the middle of Mother Nature!
