Bezoek Cotopaxi National Park met deze volledige dagtour vanuit Quito. Bezoek het interpretatiecentrum, het meer "Limpiopungo" en bekijk de hoogste actieve vulkaan "Cotopaxi". Je privé rondleiding met gids wordt afgehaald en afgeleverd bij je centraal gelegen Quito-accommodatie.

Vroeg in de ochtend gaan we richting het zuiden van de stad via de Avenue of the Volcanoes, zo genoemd omdat we, als het weer het toelaat, heuvels en vulkanen zoals Pasochoa, Corazón, Ilinizas en andere kunnen observeren totdat we bereiken het Cotopaxi National Park, waar we het Interpretatiecentrum zullen bezoeken, hier zal onze gids al je vragen over de hoogste actieve vulkaan ter wereld uitleggen en beantwoorden.
We blijven de Limpiopungo-lagune bezoeken en maken een interessante wandeling om vogels en planten te observeren die zich hebben aangepast aan deze koude klimaten. Op de terugweg staat ons transport op je te wachten om een rozenplantage te bezoeken en te zien hoe de beste bloemen ter wereld worden geproduceerd.
Aan het einde van deze kleurrijke stop zal onze gids sites voorstellen en tijd vrijmaken voor de lunch. In de middag keert u terug naar Quito en onze gids zet u af bij uw hotel.

The experience of visiting Cotopaxi and the Rose production tour was good. The only problem was our reservation stated that the pickup would be at 7:30. However, our guide showed up at 8:00. He stated that he was told to be at the hotel at that time. We have had previous messages via What’s App regarding pick up time or any updates which did not occur today.
Rose Tour was brilliant, guide was asleep all the on way back after lunch all the way back to the City. Cotopaxi walk around the lagoon was ok but not what we expected (seemigly other side gives full view when weather not too bad.)

The guide and driver were very informative and punctual. On the way to Cotopaxi we stopped at view points and learned about the volcanos which surround Quito. We did in fact book the incorrect tour (we hoped to hike to the glacier which wasn't this tour). The guide facilitated the change without issue, organising local guides to take us to the refuge in a 4x4. *Do be aware that this tour is to the Cotopaxi Laguna and not above.* We were very happy and would certainly use this company again!
Visiting cotopaxi is impressive but you need to be lucky to see the mountain not too covered with clouds. Wind also plays its part and can be strong. There are many trails in the park so you don't have to climb too high. There are a few haciendas in the park with awesome views.
