Het Arataki Visitor Centre is een warme en gastvrije toegangspoort tot de natuurwonderen van Auckland's westelijke regio. Het centrum fungeert als een educatief centrum en startpunt voor outdoorliefhebbers en speelt een belangrijke rol bij het verbinden van bezoekers met de ongerepte schoonheid en het rijke culturele erfgoed van het gebied.
De watervallen van Karekare liggen in het westelijke deel van het Waitākere Ranges Regional Park, nabij het dorp Karekare – beroemd als filmlocatie voor The Piano. Met zijn prachtige omgeving en gemakkelijke toegankelijkheid wordt deze waterval beschouwd als een van de must-see natuurlijke attracties van Nieuw-Zeeland.
De Mercer Bay Loop Track begint hoog boven Piha en brengt je naar Te Ahua landtong, de site van een belangrijke Māori pā (versterkt dorp), met een prachtig uitzicht op en neer de westkust.
Piha is een van Auckland's beroemdste zwarte zandstranden aan de westkust. Piha maakt deel uit van het Waitākere Ranges Regional Park en is een populaire plek voor zwemmers en surfers.

Kenneth was very accommodating and patient with all of our requests. He was familiar with the sites we visited and provided helpful context. He was delightful, punctual and friendly.
Jonglok was an excellent tour guide. He had great insight into the places visited and was patient and accommodating. He made it an exciting experience and was helpful in providing great family photos with memories to treasure.
I am so very glad we booked this tour. Jonglok was very informative and kind and an excellent driver. I was eyeing a lookout point about 30 minutes extra walk and as we were the only 2 booked that day (winter), we VERY graciously obliged and it was TOTALLY worth the sore legs and butt! We thoroughly enjoyed our tour today with our friendly host, Jonglok. As someone who is prone to motion sickness, I especially appreciated his smooth and careful driving, which made the journey very comfortable. It was wonderful to relax and take in the beautiful scenery at each stop without having to worry about driving ourselves. This is a fantastic morning tour and a great way to escape the city for a few hours. Highly recommended!
