Zodra u uw gewenste ophaalpunt heeft geselecteerd, beginnen we onze reis naar de stad Ávila. Eerst bezoeken we de kathedraal, een meesterwerk van gotische stijl dat dateert uit de 11e en 12e eeuw. Hierna maken we een wandeling door de stad, waar u de Plaza del Mercado Chico (Kleine Markt) kunt zien, de kerk van San Juan Bautista, waar de Heilige Theresia van Jezus werd gedoopt, en vervolgens het klooster van de Heilige Theresia, waar u de relikwieënkamer kunt bezoeken. Nadat we de stad hebben bekeken, gaan we naar het Four Posts Monument, waar u een aantal bijzondere foto's van de stad kunt maken. Vervolgens rijden we voor een rit van 50 minuten naar Segovia, waar we stoppen voor de lunch vlak bij de Plaza Mayor en de kathedraal. Nadat u gegeten heeft, maken we nog een wandeling om het aquaduct en het Alcázar te ontdekken. Nadat u het bezocht heeft, keren we terug naar Madrid.

We beginnen de tour in Madrid vanaf het punt dat u beslist. Onze eerste stop is Ávila. Tijdens deze reis kun je het Kruis van de Gevallenen en het Guadarrama-gebergte zien
Het Monument van de Vier Posten van Ávila is een emblematisch bouwwerk aan de rand van de Spaanse stad Ávila. Vanuit Ávila maken we een reis van een uur naar Segovia. Tijdens deze reis kunt u genieten van het landschap van het Guadarrama-gebergte. Eenmaal aangekomen op de Plaza Mayor heeft u vrije tijd voor de lunch.
De kathedraal van Segovia, een majestueus werk uit de Spaanse laatgotiek, staat als een imposant symbool in de skyline van Segovia. De prominente toren, bekend als de "Vrouwe van de kathedralen", domineert het stedelijke landschap. De kathedraal, gebouwd tussen de 16e en 18e eeuw, maakt indruk met zijn prachtige façade, zijn rijkelijk versierde interieur en zijn geschiedenis die verband houdt met het Spaanse koningshuis.
Het Alcázar van Segovia is een imposant kasteel gelegen op de top van een rotsachtige heuvel in Segovia, Spanje. Het ontwerp combineert elementen van militaire en paleisachtige architectuur, met torens, kantelen en een spectaculaire binnenplaats. Het is een van de meest emblematische kastelen in Spanje, met een lange geschiedenis die teruggaat tot de 12e eeuw, en is door de eeuwen heen gebruikt als koninklijke residentie, gevangenis en artillerieacademie.
Het Segovia-aquaduct is een indrukwekkend Romeins bouwwerk dat dateert uit de 1e eeuw na Christus. Het valt op door zijn perfect bewaard gebleven granieten bogen, die majestueus boven de Spaanse stad Segovia oprijzen en water van de Sierra de Guadarrama naar het historische centrum dragen. Het is een van de meest emblematische monumenten in Spanje en een opmerkelijk getuigenis van Romeinse techniek.
Vanaf het Segovia-aquaduct maken we de terugreis. Uur en vijftien minuten tot u uw vertrekpunt in Madrid bereikt.

Perfect Day journey with Joan from beginning to finish. Charming and knowledgeable guide-driver arrived on time for our hotel pickup in a luxury comfort van. Excellent presentation in well spoken English of the history from the Phoenician to present day Spain. He described in detail each historical or cultural aspect of the monuments in Avila and Segovia and the sights along the way. Joan tour is worth every penny, Enjoy !!!

I cannot say enough great things about our tour with Joan. My husband, my two teenagers and I spent an incredible day touring Avila and Segovia. Joan is so knowledgeable about the history, geography, architecture, and landscape of the area. His energy and enthusiasm are infectious, and he’s really fun. He set our expectations early in the day and continued to update us throughout, so we knew exactly what was next, but he also easily adjusted based on our interests. He took a ton of great photos of us. The van was very comfortable too. You will not be disappointed.
A wonderful family experience We did this tour of Avila and Segovia as a family during the month of March and it was a fantastic experience. From the first moment, Joan made us feel comfortable and became an excellent guide. He accompanied us throughout the tour, explaining clearly and enthusiastically the history of each site we visited. Incredible experience in Avila and Segovia! We did a 9-hour tour of Avila and Segovia and couldn't be happier. The driver was much more than that: he explained in detail the history of each place, accompanied us throughout the day and showed his passion for what he does. Both Avila and Segovia surprised us for their beauty and cultural richness, but the difference was made by Joan, who made everything enjoyable, interesting and very special.
