Privétour Loch Lomond Stirling en de Kelpies vanuit Glasgow

Een kans om enkele van de attracties van Schotland te ervaren tijdens een eendaagse tour: een boottocht op Loch Lomond, een werkelijk onvergetelijke ervaring op een van de grootste zoetwatermeren van Schotland. De 'Gateway to the Highlands', Stirling, is doordrenkt van geschiedenis met een bruisend centrum vol onafhankelijke winkels en cafés. Voer Highland Cows met de hand en kom dichtbij de verbazingwekkende Kelpies-sculpturen - de hoogste paardenbeelden ter wereld. Alles in het comfort van uw eigen voertuig, alleen voor u en uw gezelschap. De reistijd van deze tour is ongeveer 3 uur en 10 minuten met een tijdsbesteding bij attracties van 4 uur en 30 minuten (met flexibiliteit).

Pollok Park ligt aan de rand van Glasgow en de belangrijkste attractie hier zijn de iconische 'hairy coos' (Highland Cows).
Op weg naar Falkirk nemen we u mee naar de hoogste Equine Statues ter wereld, twee legendarische Schotse zeepaardjes die bekend staan als ‘Kelpies’. Ze wegen elk 300 ton en zijn 100 voet hoog, een staaltje techniek.
Het volgende op de route is Stirling, vaak de 'Gateway to the Highlands' genoemd. Stirling is een prachtige stad met een centrum met historische straten en onafhankelijke winkels. We schatten dat u hier ongeveer 90 minuten zult verblijven. Als u ervoor kiest om dat te doen, kunnen we u meenemen naar Stirling Castle en/of het Wallace Monument terwijl u in Stirling bent, maar beide hebben een toegangsprijs als u besluit om binnen te gaan.
Doune Castle was te zien in de tv-hitserie Outlander, het was Winterfell in de Game of Thrones-pilot en het was de plek waar het grootste deel van Monty Python en de Heilige Graal werd gefilmd. Als je fan bent van een van deze shows, zullen we hier even stoppen voor wat foto's buiten.
Onze laatste attractie: een cruise op Loch Lomond. De 1 uur durende 'Experience' cruise met een vaartijd van 15:30 uur is de enige die past bij ons schema. Prijzen beginnen bij £16,50 voor een volwassene met verschillende pakketten voor gezinnen en jongvolwassenen.
Als een cruise u niet bevalt, brengen wij u naar Luss, geprezen als het mooiste dorp van Schotland. Luss ligt aan de oevers van Loch Lomond, dit beschermde dorp biedt een fantastisch uitzicht op het meer, schilderachtige historische huisjes met kleurrijke tuinen en een 'hogback Viking-grafsteen' - een zeldzaam type Viking-grafsteen dat alleen op de Britse eilanden wordt gevonden.

Ophaallocaties en -tijden
Als u in een hotel verblijft, ontvangt de gids u in de lobby van het hotel (u krijgt het telefoonnummer van de chauffeur waarmee u rechtstreeks contact kunt opnemen). Als je in een accommodatie met eigen kookgelegenheid (appartement etc.) verblijft, zal je gids je sms'en of bellen wanneer ze buiten het pand zijn. Omdat dit een privétour is, halen we u en uw feest alleen op.

This was my most favorite day on our 16 day trip in the British Isles! Before our trip, Joao was easy to communicate with and answered all my questions. I gave him a list of things we wanted to see and he fit it all into a perfect day. We were assigned Taiymur as our guide and we were so lucky!! Taiymur was FANTASTIC and made our day so amazing. He was so prepared for everything we needed. He was the perfect mix of telling us things about the area and allowing quiet time for us to just enjoy the scenery. This guide has history and facts about the places he showed us. He scouted blarney castle gardens ahead of time to show us the most impressive features. Great guide, best option out there.

We had a group of 20 and we loved our tour! Diana did an excellent job at showing us how beautiful Scotland is. Love seeing the Highland ‘Coos’, the castles and the beautiful views. We highly recommend E2G and Diana.

We had a fantastic day touring Scotland thanks to our tour guide, Paul! There were six of us in our party, and Paul showed up on time, with a very comfortable van, and a pleasant, fun and laid back personality! We asked if we could change up the itinerary slightly and he didn’t hesitate to accommodate. He was knowledgeable on the history and sights of Scotland, and had fun stories and interesting facts. He even told us about his favorite bakery, as we were driving by, so we all said let’s go! He pulled right over and gave us a few minutes to go get some coffee and pastries. The sights we saw around Glasgow were beautiful and historic. We are so thankful we took this tour, but Paul truly made this tour fun and insightful!

Our tour guide, Simon, was exceptional! There were four of us in our group from Florida so the Scottish accents are sometimes challenging in a fun sorta way but he purposefully slowed down his speech and clarified words for us. He was an excellent driver and his van was very comfortable. He was quite knowledgeable about Scottish history and current events especially soccer and other sports. He had a well planned itinerary and allowed us plenty of time to explore at each stop. He took us to some fun, off the beaten path, places including a small town pub. We highly recommend Simon!!

The private tour was booked at the last minute. Was surprised to find E2G tours offering the tour on 1st January 2026. And it was reasonably priced as well. The driver/guide assigned to my family was Corinne. My family consisted of my children who were 3 and 9 years old. Corinne was a really good driver and was very careful given that there was a child in the car. Corinne was also very well versed with Scottish history and patiently explained everything to us. Would recommend E2G tours and Corinne in particular.
