De gids. Ik ben George en ik neem gasten al meer dan 12 jaar mee op privétours langs de kustlijn (waar ik ben opgegroeid). Ik vind het geweldig om nieuwe mensen te ontmoeten, een goede lach te hebben en de adembenemende schoonheid van Noord-Ierland te laten zien. Ik heb veel leuke weetjes en interessante anekdotes over de gebieden die we zullen bezoeken. U zult een leuke en onvergetelijke dag met mij hebben. Mijn schema is erg flexibel en we kunnen het aanpassen op basis van uw behoeften en vaardigheden. Ik kan rond u en uw timing werken als u later moet beginnen of de tour eerder moet beëindigen dan gepland. Het is uw tour en ik ben hier om er een geweldige tour van te maken! Een korte stop bij Carrickfergus Castle voor foto's van de buitenkant en een gesprek over de geschiedenis ervan
Rijdend over de kustroute naar het noorden, zullen we onderweg stoppen voor foto's. We passeren Ballygally, Glenarm, Carnlough, Cushendall en Cushendun. Elk dorp heeft zijn eigen speciale iets, in Ballygally een 'Haunted' kasteel, in Glenarm prachtige ommuurde tuinen. Carnlough Harbour heeft een speciale interesse voor Game of Thrones-fans, en Cushendun is een National Trust-dorp. Ik kan naar uw wensen luisteren en we kunnen het schema dienovereenkomstig aanpassen.
We stoppen bij Ballycastle om wat te eten en de bezienswaardigheden te bekijken, voordat we langs de kustlijn richting de Giants Causeway rijden.
Afhankelijk van je conditie en het weer, kunnen we even stoppen om de ruïnes van Kinbane Castle te bekijken. Het is een flinke wandeling naar beneden (en weer omhoog) via een enorme trap om het te zien, dus misschien geef je de voorkeur aan een korte foto bij het uitkijkpunt.
Om de touwbrug van Carrick-a-rede over te steken, kan het minimaal een uur duren (of langer, afhankelijk van de bezoekers). Er is echter de mogelijkheid om snel een foto te maken van een prachtig uitzichtpunt om ons op het goede spoor te houden en meer geweldige uitzichten te zien.
Dit is slechts een korte stop om de ruïnes van Dunseverick Castle te bekijken met fotomomenten. Afhankelijk van het weer kunnen we ook een bezoek brengen aan Dunseverick Harbour en een geheime waterval langs de route.
De Giants Causeway wordt doorgaans beschouwd als het hoofdevenement, maar is eigenlijk gratis te bezoeken, hoewel er kosten zijn om het bezoekerscentrum binnen te bekijken. We kunnen op de dag zelf beslissen wat u wilt. De wandeling naar de Causeway zelf is altijd een belevenis, maar er is een (kleine) bus beschikbaar om u naar en van de hoofdlocatie te brengen als u dat liever wilt.
Dunluce Castle kan gratis worden bekeken en gefotografeerd vanaf verschillende plekken. Als u het kasteel wilt bezoeken en wat tijd binnen de kasteelmuren wilt doorbrengen, laat het me dan vroeg op de dag weten, zodat we een bezoek tijdens openingstijden kunnen garanderen.
The Dark Hedges is een spookachtig mooie laan van verweven beukenbomen die in de 18e eeuw zijn geplant, waardoor een van de meest iconische natuurlijke bezienswaardigheden van Noord-Ierland is ontstaan. Beroemd geworden als de Kingsroad in Game of Thrones, is het een must-visit stop voor sfeerfoto's en een snelle wandeling.

Our day exploring the Antrim Coast was awesome and made particularly so by George who conducted our private tour. George accommodated our every request and customised the day to suit what we wanted to do - as well as adding some experiences that we hadn’t thought of but which we are so glad he included. Touring with George is the only way to go and he has provided us with one of our best day tour experiences we have ever had. I cannot recommend him more highly. We really enjoyed our tour of the Antrim Coast and Giants Causeway. George was an amazing, informative, and entertaining tour guide during our day long tour. His knowledge brought to life each quaint little village along the coastal causeway. Since he is a native of the area, he had so many interesting stories to share with us! We are hoping to be back for another tour soon!!! We highly recommend a tour with George!!!
10/10 experience! George is an extremely knowledgeable and local (and hilarious) guide and my husband and I had an amazing day seeing and learning about Northern Ireland's north coast. George has endless knowledge and fun facts about so many locations along the coast – it really enriched our experience and elevated it from just a sightseeing tour. We loved getting out of the fray at the Giant's Causeway and loved the small village/town where George took us for tea. We felt very safe with George's driving - he knows how to drive the narrow roads and in weather (and also the city roads getting in/out of Belfast) and this alone made the tour absolutely worth it. Absolutely awesome experience! George was very easy going, friendly and personable. Seeing this beautiful country through the eyes of a local brought a whole new appreciation to our experience. The tour was at a nice pace to see a lot of beautiful sites. George is eager to please and will customize your tour to your specific interests. Very comfortable and clean car. Our Northern Ireland tour was outstanding from start to finish. The tour guide was fantastic—the perfect person for the job. He had a very pleasant personality, was extremely knowledgeable, and was patient with the many questions from our group. One of the biggest advantages of this tour was traveling in a smaller vehicle, which allowed us to take the scenic coastal road along the ocean. The scenery was absolutely breathtaking. That drive was one of, if not the most scenic drive I have ever experienced in my life. The combination of a wonderful guide, spectacular views, and a more personalized experience made this tour truly memorable. I would highly recommend this tour and this guide to anyone visiting Northern Ireland.
Amazing experience. We saw so many wonderful villages, castles, harbours, glens, spectacular views as well as the Giants Causeway. This private tour often took us to places without other tourists. George grew up here, he spoke with passion about the area and was able to connect with us through his experiences. It was very much like driving with a good friend. He went out of his way to pick us up and he gave us suggestions for other things we might want to see in Northern Ireland. We want to visit again. Thank you for a great trip. We had an amazing experience on the Private Tour of the Antrim Glens Coast and Giants Causeway with George. He was local, fun, incredibly knowledgeable, and so kind throughout the entire trip. He was also wonderful with my kids, which made the experience even more enjoyable for our family. There is no way we could have seen and experienced as much as we did on our own.
