Bezoek de Grot der Meren in Kalavrita, een zeldzame creatie van de natuur, bestaande uit in totaal 13 meren, rijk aan dichtheid en verscheidenheid aan vormen, kleuren en figuren. Bezoek het klooster van Mega Spilaio, een complex klooster met meerdere verdiepingen of het oude Korinthe, een van de geliefde steden van Sint-Paulus en geniet van de reis met de tandradbaan die wordt genoemd als de mooiste treinreis op de Balkan! Onze chauffeur haalt u om 08.00 uur op bij uw hotel en rijdt langs de kust van het vasteland naar Peloponnesos, waar we onze eerste stop hebben, 1 uur later, bij het kanaal van Korinthe (lengte 6 km en hoogte 80 m).
Aangekomen in het oude Korinthe, dompel jezelf onder in de historische betekenis van deze ooit bloeiende stad. Bewandel de paden die Sint-Paulus doorkruiste en bezoek de oude markt en de Bema van Sint-Paulus – een prominent rostrum waar hij predikte voor de burgers van Korinthe. Verken de ruïnes van deze voormalige stadstaat en reflecteer op de rijke geschiedenis die het vroege christendom heeft gevormd. Hier ziet u de tempel van Apollo en de oude Agora, waar de apostel Paulus predikte tot de Korintiërs.
Onze volgende stop is bij Diakofto, waar u aan boord stapt van de Cog Railway (Odontotos) die Kalavryta met Diakofto verbindt, en door de adembenemende Vouraikos Canyon reist. Deze route staat bekend als een van de mooiste natuurlijke bezienswaardigheden in Griekenland en wordt gevierd als een van de meest spectaculaire treinritten in de Balkan. De treinreis voert u door schilderachtige landschappen, kronkelend langs beken en de steile smalle kloof in de bergen beklimmend. Je komt door tunnels, over watervallen en langs kliffen, omringd door weelderige bossen van dennen en oleander. Wanneer de helling bijzonder steil wordt, schakelt de trein over van een gewoon spoor naar een tandradsysteem voor extra stabiliteit. De schilderachtige rit eindigt in het charmante stadje Kalavryta en biedt een onvergetelijke ervaring van de prachtige natuurlijke schoonheid van Griekenland.
Onze chauffeur ontmoet u in Kalavryta om de tour voort te zetten bij de mysterieuze, prachtige en unieke "Cave of the Lakes", een zeldzame creatie van de natuur. Binnen vind je in totaal 13 kleine en grote meren, die elk verschillende kleuren vertonen, afhankelijk van de oxiden die in de rotsen aanwezig zijn. U zult de prachtige "hangbrug" en de "watervallen" zien cascaderen door de grot, waardoor u het gevoel krijgt langs een drijvende gang te lopen. U zult ook de ongewone stalactietformaties bewonderen. In de winter, als de sneeuw smelt, verandert de grot in een ondergrondse rivier met natuurlijke watervallen. De onderzochte lengte van de grot is 1.980 meter, met 500 meter momenteel ontwikkeld voor bezoekers. De verkenning begint via een kunstmatige tunnel die u rechtstreeks naar de tweede verdieping leidt, waar de uitzichten werkelijk ontzagwekkend zijn. De doorgang tussen de meren wordt gemaakt door verhoogde kunstmatige bruggen. Na de grottour maken we een stop voor de lunch in het pittoreske dorpje Kalavryta.

The trip was great. Jerry is a patience and cute guy. He really goes slowly as we have a seniors. He also explained clearly when we asked him any questions. We really enjoyed our trip with Jerry.
Theo was awesome - extremely accommodating the entire day. A few glitches along the way were nobody's fault and not within his or the company's control (they graciously reduced our trip price afterward as a result, very considerate to do so). Despite everything, it was still a great day - We'd definitely book them again for this or another excursion.

Mr George was an absolute gentleman. He was friendly, a very good driver, was very clear with instructions and made sure to get us to each place in time despite traffic. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience and would gladly recommend the tour.
Very nice driver. Nice Limousine, great spots visited. The best was the train ride. The cave we expected a bit larger but was nice as well. The guide at Korinthwas also very nice.

The entire countryside was amazing. Our driver made so many stops and made us feel like a local. He was friendly, funny and extremely accommodating. We even got to stop off at the vanilla honey bee guy on the side of the road. An authentic Greek experience. The railway drive, the cave of lakes, every small town. All way amazing. This is a tour you don’t want to miss. It’s fun and beautiful all at the same time!
We spent two days (Meteora/Corinth & Cog Railway) with Ioannis. He is very nice, careful driver, always willing to help. Car was spotlessly clean and well maintained. Ioannis went a step ahead showing as many hidden gems along our trips. Definitely five star experience!
If it only mentioned the car and the driver Mr. Ioannis, this trip should have 5+ stars, because he made this trip worth the money! He was a pleasure to spend a day with and I got so much more out of the trip than expected. In comparison to the things on the trip, I think it is an expensive trip to take on, and this is especially because you have to lie about 30 euros above the price per person (and this is without counting the price for lunch), since nothing is included in the trip, i.e. the price is for a driver and a car and nothing else. I think for me, the price would have seemed more ok if everything was inclusive. This may be because I was alone on the trip and therefore it is a lot of money to pay for one person. I'm aware you pay a price for freedom by being private. I liked the things we saw, but I think I would have chosen the caves and maybe had a walk past a little Greek town with charm. The caves are great to see, but I think it's even better right when the snow has melted in spring. In relation to the contact with the company, it worked really well and man for quick information, as well as payment goes easily. I think next time I will instead of just taking a proposed private package, talk to them about to immediately set a personal trip that suits me better, then I also don't think I will think so much about the price:) I would not hesitate to use the company again, especially if I could get Mr. Ioannis again.
This tour was amazing! Ioannis was so accommodating and took us to some amazing spots during our day trip! He allowed us time to stop for coffee in a charming spot in Corinth and for lunch, he took us to the most amazing, authentic restaurant in Diakoptou. At the Anciety Corinth site, a private guide took us around which was a great surprise. We all wore masks in the vehicle to keep everyone safe! The only suggestion is to not add on the Monastery for the extra 50 Euros, you may not have time because there is so much to see. The Cave of Lakes was amazing and the view from outside was so beautiful. Our day with Ioannis was the highlight of our trip and a must do from Athens!
