Na een pick-up van het hotel, is uw eerste stop in het Panathinaikos-stadion, de bakermat van de eerste moderne Olympische spelen, die plaatsvonden in 1896.
Ga langs het Griekse parlement in het voormalige Koninklijk Paleis van het Syntagma-plein en bekijk de grillige Evzoni Guards in hun barnsteen-tunieken. Ga verder naar het statige Zappion Conference Centre in de Nationale Tuinen van Griekenland. Ga verder langs de Romeinse tempel van de Olympische Zeus, de boog van Hadrianus en het graf van de onbekende soldaat, bewaakt door meer Evzones. Je passeert het knappe Numismatisch Museum in Schlieman's House, de katholieke kathedraal, de neoklassieke trio van Athene en als laatste de Akropolis (uitzicht op Areopagus en het theater van Dionysus), waar je de monumentale marmeren poorten van de Propylaea, de tempels van Athena Nike, zult bezoeken en Parthenon. Bekijk de beroemde Porch of Maidens op het Erectheion.
Ga verder met een aangename korte wandeling langs Herodion en Dionysos Theater, om het gedurfde nieuwe Akropolismuseum te bezoeken. De belangrijkste bezienswaardigheden van de Acropolis zijn een groot aantal archeologische vondsten, waaronder votieven, artefacten uit het dagelijks leven, archaïsche standbeelden, kariatiden en de zaal van het Parthenon met displays van de frontons, de metopen en de fries.

We had such a great time doing this tour! Our tour guide Sophia was so knowledgeable and really went above and beyond to accommodate my mom who was a little slower since she had a broken toe! It was amazing and I couldn’t have been happier! Having a private guide really gives you a personal experience and you get to enjoy the acropolis way more! I would most definitely recommend!
Demetrius was the best! He was so knowledgeable and shared so much history and knowledge with us. Demetrius and the driver both went out of their way to assist when 2 in the group overdid it and needed assistance getting back to the car.
Anna was fantastic. She assured that she met the needs of every member of our party. She even kept us entertained during the long wait at the Acropolis. Our driver Leo also went the extra mile to satisfy our needs. Highly recommended

Pickup as scheduled. Christine (guide) and Harry (driver) were personable and accommodating, adjusting pace to suit the group. Christine was very knowledgeable and presented information in a relatable, engaging way. Because a private tour, we were able to change out one stop on the itinerary for a drive to the highest point in Athens where we enjoyed a spectacular panoramic view of the City. A memorable experience, well worth the money. Highly recommend.
Our guide, Anna, and driver, Chris, were both wonderful! Having a private tour is well worth the cost. We were picked up and returned to our hotel. One of us has difficulty walking and they made it easy for us to see everything up close and at our pace. Anna’s clear explanations and stories taught us so much. The views were spectacular.
