Met een oppervlakte van 647 hectare is Chapultepec Forest een van de grootste oases in Mexico-Stad. De ingang van het bos toont ons het Monument to Children Heroes, waarmee we de uitdaging aangaan om de kleine heuvel te beklimmen bekroond door het Chapultepec-kasteel, een keizerlijk paleis en een presidentiële residentie.
Dit museum van wereldklasse staat in het verlengde van de Bosque de Chapultepec en is een hoogtepunt van een bezoek aan CDMX. De lange, rechthoekige binnenplaats is aan drie zijden omgeven door twee verdiepingen tellende tentoonstellingshallen. De 12 sala's (hallen) op de begane grond zijn gewijd aan het pre-Spaanse Mexico, terwijl sala's op het hoogste niveau laten zien hoe de inheemse afstammelingen van Mexico tegenwoordig leven, met de hedendaagse culturen direct boven hun voorouderlijke beschavingen. Het enorme museum biedt meer dan de meeste mensen in één bezoek kunnen opnemen.
Liefdevol genaamd El Ángel, het onafhankelijkheidsmonument op Reforma Avenue in Mexico-stad is een onmiskenbaar symbool van de hoofdstad van Mexico. Gouden en glorieus, zweeft het gevleugelde standbeeld van overwinning boven het verkeer, chaos, protesten en toeristen die elke dag onder haar voeten passeren.
Het Alameda Central is het grote stadspark van Mexico-stad. Gemakkelijk een van de oudste stadsparken in Amerika, de Alameda is al meer dan 400 jaar een symbool van de stad, zowel in goede als in slechte tijden.
Het Palacio de Bellas Artes (Paleis voor Schone Kunsten) is een prominent cultureel centrum in Mexico-Stad. Het heeft een aantal van de meest opmerkelijke evenementen in muziek, dans, theater, opera en literatuur georganiseerd en heeft belangrijke tentoonstellingen van schilderkunst, beeldhouwkunst en fotografie gehouden. Daarom werd het Palacio de Bellas Artes de "Kunstkathedraal in Mexico" genoemd.
Gebouwd vanuit een eilandje in het midden van het meer, groeide Mexico-Stad met een netwerk van kanalen en kunstmatige eilanden, en de Templo Mayor kreeg vorm. De Spanjaarden bouwden daarop de Metropolitan Cathedral en de herinnering aan de oude en imposante pre-Spaanse tempel was eeuwenlang verloren.
In dit grandioze koloniale paleis zie je Diego Rivera-muurschilderingen (geschilderd tussen 1929 en 1951) die de Mexicaanse beschaving uitbeelden vanaf de komst van Quetzalcóatl (de Azteekse gepluimde slangengod) tot de postrevolutionaire periode. De negen muurschilderingen die de noord- en oostmuren van het 1e niveau boven de patio bedekken, beschrijven het inheemse leven vóór de Spaanse verovering.
De Metropolitan Cathedral is zonder twijfel een van de belangrijkste gebouwen in het historische centrum van Mexico-Stad. Naast zijn religieuze betekenis, bevat het een samenvatting van vijf eeuwen aan Mexicaanse kunst en architectuur. Gebouwd op de overblijfselen van een Azteekse tempel in wat het centrum was van de Azteekse hoofdstad Tenochtitlan, bouwden de koloniserende Spanjaarden de meest grandioze kerk van heel Amerika. De imposante omvang, fascinerende geschiedenis en prachtige kunst en architectuur maken dit een van de meest opvallende gebouwen in het land.

We had an amazing experience, and learned so much about Mexican culture and history. I highly recommend to anyone who wants a better appreciation for Mexico and the people. I would be happy to do this again.
Excellent tour of Mexico City. It was great that we could visit the most important places in Mexico City in one day. The guide was excellent, with a lot of knowledge of Mexican history and flexible to go at our pace.
Tour was excellent I had a great time! Jacqueline gave sufficient history background but we also had a good casual chat the entire day. I also liked the restaurant she brought me to, very authentic. Lastly, she was patient enough to take Iots of photos of me haha I definitely recommend!

This tour was a lot of fun. My friend and I had been to a lot of the places before, but the guide still gave us new information during his explanation of the history behind the buildings and the city. He took pictures for us and gave us plenty of time to look around. He was thoughtful of the order we visited things so we avoided the rush of school children coming, so we never had large crowds anywhere we went. At the end of the day, he allowed us to stop for an unscheduled ritual going on in our path back to the car. It w as perfect because my friend and I flew home the next day. That ritual is one of the most memorable experiences I have from my trip. I highly recommend this tour.

We were not able to take this tour because the company cancelled at 1am the evening prior to our tour. After paying with a credit card, they contacted me directly to pay in pesos for a 15% discount. After declining to pay in pesos, my tour was cancelled a few hours later with no explanation.

Despite this I offer you a sincere apologize since the guide you had asigned told us that night she would not be able to do the tour since she had a problem (something out of our control), and that night we were trying to get another guide that had worked with us (to ensure an amazing experience) but all were already assigned to other tours. I´m sorry no one explained this to you, we will improve the communication with our clients when some change happen. Regards.
Jorge did a wonderful job taking two disabled ladies around Mexico City. He and our driver, Gabriel, managed to fit both of us and rollator walkers into their vehicle and tailored the experience to our mobility and energy levels. I would highly recommend this tour for the interesting tidbits of knowledge, the ease of getting around, and the flexibility. Although CDMX itself was amazing and this tour covered all the essentials you should go see - was not a fan of the tour guide. Poor decisions such as choosing a restaurant for tacos that required being stuck in a car during rush hour traffic was not appreciated, especially when I was hungry. We could have just chosen a street vendor at one of the tour stops but I didn't want to be rude in suggesting that. Did not follow instructions when I chose a bakery as my pickup instead of hotel - which caused additional delays at the beginning. Kept quizzing me about history at almost every stop despite me telling him I wasn't much of a history person and would appreciate him just explaining vs making me feel stupid at every count. Definitely not worth the price for such lack of professionalism and perfectionism - I've travelled to 26 countries and 13 of those solo, and had way better tours for a small fraction of this price.
