Een 20 meter hoog beeldhouwwerk dat het Plein van de Verenigde Naties domineert. Het opent en sluit afhankelijk van de hoeveelheid zonlicht die het ontvangt. (De geschatte tijd tussen het hotel en het startpunt van de tour is 20 minuten)

We bezoeken Plaza de Mayo, het oudste plein van Buenos Aires en het toneel van de belangrijkste politieke gebeurtenissen in de Argentijnse geschiedenis. Er zijn historische gebouwen zoals de kathedraal van Buenos Aires, Casa Rosada, het Cabildo en Banco Nación.
Caminito, de huurkazernes en de voetbalpassie van Boca Juniors. Daar hebben we tijd om rond te lopen en traditionele Buenos Aires en Argentijnse dingen te kopen.
Het werd opgericht in 1897 en combineert geschiedenis en authenticiteit in een gebouw met Europese architectuur, met smeedijzer, antieke glas-in-loodramen en gangen met hoge plafonds. Het is de ideale plek om de sfeer van Buenos Aires te proeven en te zien hoe traditionele cultuur samengaat met de moderne tijd. In een half uurtje wandelt u door de gangpaden vol kraampjes waar antiek, kunst en curieuze voorwerpen worden verkocht. U vindt er ook kleine cafés en lokale delicatessenwinkels, waar u empanadas, dulce de leche of zelfs een choripán kunt proberen. De markt biedt een authentieke ervaring en een mooie gelegenheid om foto's te maken, souvenirs te kopen of gewoon te genieten van de drukte in een van de meest historische wijken van de stad.

This is an excellent introduction to Buenos Aires filled with interesting and fun facts about the area, the culture, the food and much more. We did in depth walks in all the major Neighborhoods with lots of shopping opportunities It was awesome having a driver and a guide so you didn’t have to find parking and had the full attention of the guide who was the best. It was more like driving around with friends than guides!

Driver and tour guide both included. You cns ride and tour, or walk / tour with car to pickup drop off to major sites and then walk the rest. For us we enjoyed walking. We toured Sunday afternoon which was actually perfect because the had street shops / tents out at 3 major locations. So many vendors tents you couldn’t see them all. But our tour guide allowed us to do some brief shopping as well as show us the history. She was native Argentinian who taught high school French, so she was very knowledgeable about cultural issues and explained / answered all our questions.

Julian and his team were amazing. They were able to provide us with a memorable experience, even though we were on an extremely short timeline, and were even able to be flexible when our travel plans changed near the last minute. He was very responsive throughout the booking process and I would absolutely go through him again. The tour guide Flo was also spectacular. She listened to what we wanted, and was able to organize the tour on the fly to make sure we got to spend extra time at places we found more interesting. Overall, it was a wonderful experience and I cannot recommend it enough.
