Je hebt kastelen gemaakt. Edinburgh, misschien die Disney in Duitsland, zeker te veel kerken. Dit maakt deze tour degene die je je zult herinneren: Drie uur, in en uit. Zie de glas-in-loodramen die je zullen doen stoppen, het kleine middeleeuwse straatje, uitzicht over de stad. Verhalen, geen ChatGPT. Je Gids vertelt je over een maffia die drie jongens uit een raam gooide en een oorlog begon. Alchemisten die goud probeerden te maken (werkte niet). Habsburgs drama dat je familie normaal laat lijken. Ben je een geschiedenisfanaat? Jouw Gids ook. Vraag maar. Wij regelen alles. Hotel pick-up, tram, toegang (inbegrepen - de meeste kosten extra). Je komt gewoon opdagen. Privé betekent niet wachten. Ziek van groepen? Wil je de vierde kapel overslaan? Gedaan. Wil je vijf minuten in de kathedraal omdat het licht ongelooflijk is? We wachten. Middag betekent beter licht, minder drukte. Je foto's zullen er niet uitzien als toeristenafval. Optionele lunch waar Tsjechen daadwerkelijk eten. Dit voelt niet als een kasteel dat je moest zien. Het zal er een zijn waar je blij om bent.

Vergeet de sprookjesnaam – dit is niet Assepoesters paleis. De Praagse Burcht is het grootste kasteelcomplex ter wereld, vol met koninklijke zalen, gotische torens, geheime binnenplaatsen en panoramische tuinen. We gaan door een minder bekende poort naar binnen voor een rustiger, authentieker begin van je bezoek.
We verkennen het rijzende gotische meesterwerk waar Tsjechische koningen werden gekroond en heiligen werden begraven. Van glas in lood van Alfons Mucha tot verhalen over defenestratie en goddelijk drama, deze kathedraal is allesbehalve rustig.
Stap binnen in de Vladislavzaal, waar koningen binnenshuis paard reden en revolutionairen de geschiedenis veranderden. Met zijn adembenemende laatgotische gewelven en diepe politieke wortels echoot dit paleis nog steeds van macht.
Ontsnap aan de drukte en kom op adem in een van de meest rustige tuinen van de Praagse Burcht. Het is de perfecte fotostop, met een prachtig uitzicht op de stad, de rivier en rode daken die helemaal tot aan de horizon reiken.
Dit Romaanse juweeltje dateert uit de 10e eeuw en bevat verhalen over heiligen, moord en wonderen. Ontdek St. Ludmila, de grootmoeder van het Tsjechische christendom, en het spookachtige verhaal van arme Brigitta.
Wandel door de meest betoverende straat van het kasteel – een rij kleine, kleurrijke huizen waar ooit alchemisten, bewakers en zelfs Franz Kafka woonden. Het is charmant, eigenzinnig en vol geheimen. We vertellen je wie waar woonde en wat ze van plan waren.

Our guide Nickoli was terrific. She was so knowledgeable, organized, and had the experience to know the best times to see each exhibit to avoid waiting lines. She knew all the most important sites and vantage points. Nickolas was flexible and accommodating, interesting and met all the group’s requests. The Prague Castle was well worth visiting and the long walk was easy.
Kuba was a great guide - he made the experience far more than expected. Very knowledgeable on a variety of topics well beyond "dates and names". A truly enjoyable experience and recommended to all.

We did our final tour of four with Prague City Adventures with the head of the company Misa. This was indeed an honour for us and she started by checking up with us regarding our previous tours & if they were to our satisfaction. We did Prague castle & St Vitus Cathedral with Misa, which we accomplished via tram as we were travelling with our 3 year old in a stroller. Misa was able to get us safely to and from the castle complex. The tour was very relaxed & friendly, we were able to go at our own pace and Misa was always considerate of our child’s needs, which we appreciated. I learnt a lot from her regarding Czech history as well as the protracted history of St Vitus Cathedral’s construction. Misa also gave us valuable insights regards local shops & transport links to help us navigate our remaining time in Prague. We would totally recommend Misa & her team for any touring needs in Czechia.

Our guide Nikola was fabulous from the moment we met. Extremely friendly and personable. Knowledgeable. Caring. Gave us information above and beyond just the tour sites. Pointed out so many interesting points in the castle grounds. Avoided large tour groups with additional smaller things to see to get around large crowds. Could not have been more perfect. We were sorry to have the tour end. It went by so fast and we had only just met a fabulous new friend!!!

Wonderful experience. Our tour guide Nikola was excellent. Very knowledgeable and interesting. She also gave us ideas for the rest of our trip. She spent the perfect amount of time visiting each of buildings. Also helped us make a bus reservation. Would use her anytime as a guide.

Our guide, Katerina (Katy) picked us up at 8:30 am at our hotel for our Prague city tour through Prague City Adventures. The driver, Katy and Prague City Adventures were very flexible in helping plan our private tour. For the first half of our tour we had a driver. He took us on a panoramic tour around the city and stopped at several view points for pictures. We saw part of the old walls in a few locations. We also walked through a fascinating cemetery where famous scientists, actors, musicians, artists, etc. were buried. One of our most interesting stops was the Strahov Stadium - one of the largest stadiums ever built. Our driver’s final stop with us was dropping us near Prague Castle. We ate a traditional Czech lunch, then stopped for a craft beer and headed to the castle via tram. Katerina gave us an extensive tour of the castle complex (around 111 acres), including: • St. Vitus Cathedral – crown jewels & tombs of kings • Old Royal Palace – Vladislav Hall • Golden Lane – 16th-century tiny homes of castle artisans • St. George’s Basilica – Romanesque treasure • Royal Gardens & South Gardens • Changing of the Guard at the main gate Really had a great day with Katy, she gave us a great overview of Prague, lots of history and personal perspective as well as gave us ideas for our day on our own.
