De Akropolis is de beroemdste oude site in Athene en een symbool van het klassieke Griekenland. Op de top staat het Parthenon, een tempel gewijd aan de godin Athena.
Het Panathenaic Stadium is een van de meest historische sportlocaties ter wereld. Gebouwd volledig van marmer, organiseerde het de eerste moderne Olympische Spelen in 1896. We maken een korte stop bij het Panathenaïsche Stadion — net genoeg tijd om deze historische plek te bewonderen, een aantal geweldige foto's te maken en te genieten van het uitzicht op het enige stadion ter wereld dat volledig van marmer is gemaakt. Het is een bijzondere plek waar de Olympische Vlam zijn reis naar de Spelen begint.
Op het Syntagmaplein in Athene kunt u getuige zijn van de ceremoniële wisseling van de wacht voor het Helleense parlement. De bewakers, bekend als ‘Evzones’, zijn gekleed in traditionele uniformen en voeren een langzame, precieze mars uit. Deze symbolische ceremonie, die elk uur plaatsvindt, staat voor het respect van het land voor zijn geschiedenis en de bescherming van de democratie.
Lycabettus Hill biedt een van de beste panoramische uitzichten van Athene. U kunt prachtige foto's van de stad maken, waaronder de Akropolis, het Syntagmaplein en de Egeïsche Zee in de verte. Het is een perfecte plek voor onvergetelijke foto’s, vooral bij zonsondergang.

These guys were fantastic. We happened to be in Athens during the middle of a Taxi Strike! Go figure. But Carlos, who owns the company, send his wonderful driver to pick us up at 4:30 AM and take us to the airport. We were worried because if they didn't show up, we would have been in big trouble. This was the easiest, best way to not only get back and forth from the airport, which is far from central Athens. We also used them for a private day tour in Athens. They took care of everything and made it seamless for us. I cannot say enough good things. The drivers are professional, cars are nice and clean, and the communication with the company is superior. We are going back later this year, we will be using them again.
