We bezochten de Grote Piramide van Cholula, ook wel bekend als "Handmade Hill", met zijn imposante basis van 465 meter. We zullen meer te weten komen over de geschiedenis van de genoemde oude site en we zullen naar het Heiligdom van Nuestra Señora de los Remedios gaan, een tempel in republikeinse barokstijl waar we ook zullen genieten van een 360 graden uitzicht dat ons in staat zal stellen de vulkanen en de stad te bewonderen. Puebla.
We bezoeken de Plaza de la Concordia, het klooster van San Gabriel Arcángel.
Op deze plaats vinden we de majestueuze kerk van Santa María Tonantzintla, die wordt beschouwd als de maximale uitdrukking van de inheemse barok.
We bezoeken de Tempel van San Francisco Acatepec, een religieus monument uit de 18e eeuw, kenmerkend voor de barokke architectuur van Mexico en vooral bekend om zijn Talavera-mozaïekgevel gecombineerd met rode baksteen.

What a wonderful day! I appreciated the way Alejandro was able to give us options and flexibility to explore within the tour. His knowledge of the area is wide. While seeing the various sites we tried new things like local snacks. Because of Alejandro’s ease we even ended up at brand new Mezcal tasting spot ( I would highly recommend that, by the way). Everything we saw and experienced on this tour was explained from a rich but balanced historical perspective of Puebla and Cholula so it was both fun and educational! That said, I think we got so caught up in the fun we didn’t realize that we were running out of time and had to shorten our visit at some locations. It’s probably best to ask your tour guide how much time you should spend in each location to make sure you can get to everything.

Our guide was very warm and very knowledgeable. Cholulu is really a MUST-SEE place. After having toured the area with our guide, Alejandro, my husband and I can not imagine how we could have ever covered so much on our own. The blend of indigenous and Spanish culture was fascinating. With its 2,500-year history, Chulula may be the oldest continuous city in North America. Let that sink in . . .

Great experience! Our guide was very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. Our driver was excellent as well. The locations themselves were great (but I knew they would be, as I'd been before--but could not have done them justice to the rest of my group). Wonderful experience!

This was an excellent tour. Out tour guide, Alejandro, did a very good job-he was knowledgeable, pleasant, to be with, and had good English. He even gave us some good restaurant recommendations when asked. We were the only ones on our tour. We saw a number of sites in Cholula. It was better than trying to get around on our own. I can't imagine a higher priced tour being any better.

We had a very good experience with our Viator tour of Chollula. Our guide Alejandro was excellent-knowledgeable, pleasant to be with, and very good English. He even gave us some good restaurant recommendation in Puebla when we asked. It was much better than taking a bus on our own. We were the only clients for the tour-you can't beat the price. It was jsut what we wanted.
