In Mexico hebben we een sterke traditie van muralisme die teruggaat tot de jaren 1930. Tegenwoordig is het concept van muralisme geëvolueerd. Kunstenaars schilderen nu onder andere de straten om openbare ruimtes te verfraaien of nieuwe betekenis te geven aan gebieden die te maken hebben met geweld. In onze street art tour gaan we sightseeing doen door het centrum van de stad, zien we ongelooflijke muurschilderingen van wereldberoemde kunstenaars en verkennen we de ondergrondse graffitiwereld gemaakt door lokale en internationale kunstenaars. We zullen verschillende stijlen en technieken van graffiti leren identificeren en een dieper begrip krijgen van de wereld van street art. Deze tour is perfect voor degenen die niet bekend zijn met Mexico-Stad, omdat het je helpt jezelf onder te dompelen in de cultuur van de stad door middel van haar kunst.

The tour director is very well organized and great with communication. If you are interested in art, art history, explanation of street art and graffiti, book this tour now! The guide, Estefania, is extremely well educated in art, art history, street art, graffiti and the current trends in the street art scene. She was able to more than answer all of our questions, including questions about the living walls and other things we saw around Mexico City while walking the city. Also, Estefania was especially a pleasure because of her enthusiasm for the subject matter. Great!
