De legende zegt dat het eerste woord dat Noach uitsprak toen hij de ark verliet, "Yerevats" was - vertaald als "het wordt gezien". Dit verwijst naar het land dat hij zou hebben gezien na de enorme overstroming, die later werd veranderd in "Yerevan". U kunt informatie over de geschiedenis van de stad vinden in het Yerevan History Museum, opgericht in 1931. Er zijn meer dan 87.000 culturele waarden in het museum die vertellen over de stad vanaf de oudheid tot onze dagen.
Eerst bezoekt u de handgemaakte tapijtfabriek "Megeryan", waar u kennis maakt met de cultuur van tapijtweven, die een speciale plaats inneemt in het Armeense culturele systeem. In het traditionele Armenië ontwikkelt tapijt zich al sinds de oudheid. Tijdens de excursie nemen bezoekers deel aan een masterclass tapijtweven waarmee ze kennis kunnen maken met de traditionele Armeense cultuur met al zijn charme.
Tsitsernakaberd is het Armeense Genocide Memorial Complex. Armeniërs van over de hele wereld bezoeken dit monument om hun voorouders te eren. In het hart van het gedenkteken eert de Eeuwige Vlam degenen die het leven lieten tijdens de genocide. Het dient als een symbool van herinnering en een verplichting om ervoor te zorgen dat dergelijke wreedheden nooit worden vergeten of herhaald.
Het Parajanov Museum is gewijd aan de werken en nalatenschap van de beroemde Armeense filmregisseur Sergei Parajanov, die wordt geroemd om zijn innovatieve filmische stijl en artistieke visie. Het museum toont niet alleen zijn films, maar ook een uitgebreide collectie van zijn kunstwerken, waaronder collages, schilderijen en foto's.

Excellent tour organized by Ms. Mari Bus was good with adequate water bottles , charging points , good AC, friendly driver well familiar with route In fact Mari got us 2 additional excellent stops over and above our ask of Garni temple and Symphony of stones Must utilize their services if planning a trip to Armenia

Very nice way to visit Yerevan and get to know the history of the city and a bit more of Armenian culture. All the places we visited in this tour were guided in English. We had lunch at the Tospia restaurant and it was also very good. I really recommend this tour to anyone visiting Yerevan. We had excellent city tour though the city. Yerevan was astonishing. We thought it would be average, but it’s special views can compare to any developed city. Thanks to Yerani travel for this tour and our guide Hovhannes for his knowledge and enthusiasm.
