Deze privétour verkent het beste van West-IJsland. Het schiereiland Snæfellsnes heeft enkele van de beste bezienswaardigheden van IJsland, met de schoonheid en mystieke inspirerende wereldberoemde romans, die bezoekers elke dag betoveren. Dit is een dagtrip die u niet snel zult vergeten. We beginnen de dag vanuit Reykjavik over de ringweg richting het noorden. Naarmate we dichter bij Snæfellsnes komen, zullen we een verandering in het landschap beginnen op te merken, waarbij alles dramatischer wordt. We beginnen door enorme lavavelden te gaan, bergen die uit de oceaan lijken op te rijzen, charmante vissersdorpjes en eindeloze baaien en stranden. Inbegrepen is een heerlijke lunch in een van onze favoriete lokale restaurants. Deze privétour werd voorheen als kleine groepstour gelopen maar is nu alleen beschikbaar voor privéfeesten van maximaal 12 personen. Heeft u een grotere groep, neem dan direct contact op voor advies.

Sellvallafoss, met uitzicht op het Sellvallavatn meer, is een van de meer verborgen plekjes langs de weg, ondanks dat het zo dicht bij de bergweg ligt. Het wordt verduisterd door de contouren van het land, langs een ongemarkeerde route. De korte wandeling is zeker de moeite waard om deze uniek gevormde waterval te zien. Zijn bijnaam, de schapenwaterval is zo genoemd vanwege vrij rondlopende schapen die zich op een zomerdag vaak achter de watervallen verschuilen.

Ophaallocaties en -tijden
Ophalen begint om 9 uur. Zorg dat je op dit moment een paar minuten te vroeg bij de door jou aangewezen ophaallocatie bent. We halen op bij de aangewezen ophaalpunten voor toeristenbussen in het centrum van Reykjavik, en bepaalde hotels waar het is toegestaan om te rijden en op te halen.

Hidden Iceland coordinated our Iceland trip from start to finish and they were responsive, thoughtful and had great suggestions. Each of the three guides Matej, Levi and Macin were great at sharing information and history and stories while guiding us through the best sites in Iceland. Our groups were small, we traveled in comfortable vehicles, and had a wonderful time. Our driver to the airport even suggested a quick stop at a Viking Festival along the way as we had plenty of time. An extra bonus which we loved,

This peninsula has breathtaking views and the trip provides a wide range of scenery including waterfalls, glacier views, black sand beaches and spectacular rock formations. This was our 2nd tour with Hidden Iceland and it was a beautiful day. Our guide Einar went above and beyond to make sure that everybody in the group of 9 had an enjoyable day. There are many sights on this trip that you will find yourself remembering long after your vacation is over. There are far fewer crowds at many of the sights on this tour than some of the other areas that you can reach within a day from Reykjavik, making it that much easier to feel like you are communing with nature. This is an excellent tour to include in your itinerary!

The Peninsula trip was amazing. Our guides Fannar and Ragnar could not have been more helpful. Exquisite scenery, beautiful waterfalls, amazing geyser, as well as super recommendations for the rest of our time in Iceland. Exceptional. Highly recommended.

Farnash (sp?) of Hidden Iceland was a fantastic guide! We traveled a long distance through snow, whiteouts, rain, sleet, and extremely windy conditions in a very comfortable and safe Mercedes minibus. It was a great tour. We learned so much about Iceland and the stories of the Hidden People and the myths and culture of Iceland. Our lunch was delicious. And our stops and the scenery along the way were amazing! It's funny. In other places, we may have been disappointed by the weather but somehow our driver/guide made the entire experience interesting and exciting and taught us the Icelandic expression - everything will work out in the end - which we came to embrace and appreciate.
