Sjeik Zayed Grote Moskee die is vernoemd om de overleden president, Zijne Hoogheid Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, te eren. De moskee is groot genoeg om meer dan 40.000 gelovigen te huisvesten, terwijl de belangrijkste gebedsruimte plaats biedt aan meer dan 7.000 personen. Er zijn twee kleinere gebedshallen, elk met een capaciteit van 1500, waarvan één de vrouwengebedzaal is.

The mosque wasn’t the problem. Upon driving back from the mosque the driver continuously falling asleep and going into another lane. Not to mention we were going over the 140 speed limit. Dangerous, unapologetic , wouldn’t use them again.
Our tour guide Hichem absolutely made the day. He was knowledgeable, kind, and helpful. By the end of the day, he was our friend . The tour was well thought out and very informative. We enjoyed it very much! Would highly recommend. THANK YOU HICHEM!
My wife and I had a day layover in Dubai, and we decided to use it to explore the Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi. Our driver was on time and did a good job explaining facts as we drove the 1.5 hrs. Once there, he assisted us to getting us into the mosque (my wife's dress was too shear so she had to buy a different option), and then waited for us as we explored. He then drove us into the heart of Abu Dhabi with a few stops. These were nice, but one seemed like a shop when we thought it was a museum. By this point, we were too jet lagged to continue and he took us back to our hotel in Dubai. Besides the awkward exchange at the "museum", we enjoyed the time.
The tour guide was very insightful and the views were amazing. It was money and time well spent, I would definitely recommend them
Very nice visit accompanied by a French-speaking guide who gave us a lot of information about the mosque as well as the city and the inhabitants. Very nice discovery.
Yasir was our travel guide for the Mosque tour and he was very helpful and nice. He even waited for us at the end when we did some souvenir shopping! Very nice guy.
Very beautiful Mosque and grounds. So serene! The tile floors and ceilings were gorgeous! There were tons of visitors on this day so had to be patient with people moving around. It is definitely a must visit while staying in Dubai. It took approximately two hours to get to Abu Dhabi from Dubai. This visit entailed a lot of walking so be prepared for that and stay hydrated. Attached to the Mosque is a beautiful Mall where you can eat and do a little shopping if you like.
We had a great time visiting Sheikh Zayed Mosque. Our driver was prompt, picking us up at our hotel. The drive to the mosque was very pleasant. The mosque itself is very beautiful. Would definitely visit again.
