Deze excursie biedt u de perfecte gelegenheid om de natuur en cultuur van Oman te ontdekken. Je lokale gids zal je kennis laten maken met het land en zijn geschiedenis en je veel dingen vertellen die je in geen enkele gids zult vinden. U kunt al uw vragen stellen en er wordt rekening gehouden met extra wensen, ook met betrekking tot het reisschema. Hoogtepunten van de tour zijn het Fazayah-strand, het Al Mughsail-strand, beide bekend als de "Caribbean van het oosten", de uitblaasgaten en de traditionele Omaanse lunch.

De rit naar de grote baai van Fazayah, ongeveer 80 km ten westen van Salalah, is al leuk, want de route voert langs Mughsail beach naar de haarspeldbochten op de flanken van Wadi Afawl en verder naar de hoogten van Jebel Qamar. Daarboven voel je je een beetje als de uitkijk in de mast van een zeilschip: zeebries en een vrij uitzicht tot aan de horizon, behalve dat er ook de steile rotswanden zijn met hun bizarre formaties. Een steil maar goed pad leidt naar verschillende kleine en grote zandstranden. Nu is het de perfecte tijd om je zwemkleding aan te trekken en in de golven van de Indische Oceaan te duiken.
Als je uit de bergen komt, ga je naar het westen naar het populaire Mughsail. De eerste stop is het prachtige zandstrand, bezaaid met tuinhuisjes en palmbomen voor degenen die willen uitrusten in de schaduw terwijl ze naar de golven luisteren. De bergen komen op dat punt heel dicht bij de oceaan en zorgen voor prachtige uitzichten.
Een ander opvallend gezicht bij Mughsail zijn de blaasgaten, waar water uit de zee zich een weg baant door de rots en in het hoogseizoen tot 28 m hoog schiet. Hoogwater tijdens Khareef brengt de beste bezienswaardigheden, maar het fenomeen kan het hele jaar door bij hoogwater worden waargenomen. Tussen het strand en de blowholes passeert u de lagune, een toevluchtsoord voor vogels die migreren tussen Afrika en Europa of Azië.
De laatste stop ten westen is Masood Beach, een prachtig wit zandstrand, zo netjes verscholen in de bergen, sommigen noemen het het 'verborgen strand'. De nauwe combinatie van steile bergen met het zand en water is een prachtig gezicht om van te genieten. De terugreis naar Salalah biedt uitzicht op beroemde wierookbomen en op veel punten tijdens de reis krijgt u misschien de kans om kamelen of andere dieren van Dhofar te zien.

I had the pleasure of going on this trip alone with Abdulaziz as my tour guide and has now become a friend of mine. He was patient, knowledgeable, accommodating and has a good sense of humor. We went to Mughsail Beach, Marnif Cave, Hidden Beach, Blow Holes and Fazayah Beach. The highlight was Fazzayah Beach. I enjoyed the drive down the mountains and the water is absolutely amazing. The views are breathtaking. Abdulaziz gave me time to dip my feet in the water and sat patiently waiting for me allowing me to indulge to the maximum. I recommend this tour to anyone visiting Salalah and especially ask for Abdulaziz to be your tour guide 😊 My only concern was the poor bathroom facilities in Salalah but this was no fault of the tour company. However Abdulaziz always tried his best to find alternative ways for me to use the restroom. Thanks again for an amazing tour and look forwarding to visiting Salalah again in the near future.

I highly recommend this tour! I spent a great afternoon in breathtaking settings. Small tip for the beach: get ready for the beautiful waves and take a board! The guide I had already done the eastern part of Salalah with was really great: accommodating, friendly and really keen to share his culture.

We could see the beautiful seaside in Salalah. My guide Abdul took us the several places in half day. His time management skill is professional. He knows well what time we should go to each place.
