Het grootste wereldwijde militaire conflict begon hier op 1 september 1939 met de eerste schoten op het schiereiland Westerplatte. Laten we de overblijfselen van het Poolse transitdepot en vestingwerken uit de jaren 1930 bezoeken insluitsels: - Gegarandeerde 1,5 uur durende Westerplatte-tour (geleid in het Engels) - Vervoer van deur tot deur per auto met airconditioning met Engelssprekende gids en chauffeur - Stop 15 minuten om de Golf van Gdansk . te zien - Individuele groepen tot 8 personen - Entree/toegang - Westerplatte Museum (niet beschikbaar op maandag en buiten het seizoen)

Je wordt opgehaald bij je hotel in Gdansk en per bus naar Westerplatte gebracht. Tijdens de overdracht zal uw gids een geschiedenis van Westerplatte en de vrije stad Danzig beschrijven direct na 1918.
Bezoek aan Westerplatte, de plaats waar de Tweede Wereldoorlog begon. Laten we de plaats verkennen waar het Poolse troepengarnizoen 7 dagen verdedigde tegen nazi-Duitse troepen.
Na het bezoeken van bezienswaardigheden reizen we terug naar je hotel in Gdansk.

Extremely knowledgable guide Mateusz arrived on time at our hotel in a clean vehicle with bottles of water provided. He gave a fantastic historical overview of Gdansk and then a moving and detailed account of the battle at Westerplatte. He speaks very good English and gave recommendations for local cuisine and dining. We would throughly recommend his tour and will use his service again.
