Geef je leven meer pit in Zanzibar: Voor degenen die geïnteresseerd zijn in cultuur en geschiedenis, zou geen reis naar Zanzibar compleet zijn zonder een rondleiding door een traditionele kruidenboerderij. Door de jaren heen is Zanzibar een van de grootste exporteurs van kruidnagel en andere specerijen geweest en werd het gebruikt als een welkome tussenstop voor de vele handelaren die de passaatwinden exploiteerden op weg naar India.

Rijd over rustige en schilderachtige Zanzibar wegen met een prachtig uitzicht op de glooiende heuvel en bezoek kleine landelijke dorpjes op de Zanzibar eilanden. Vervolgens stop je bij Kidichi en Kizimbani rural Village om de tropische specerijen van Zanzibar te voelen, te proeven en te verblinden. Neem wat tijd om vanille, nootmuskaat, saffraan, kruidnagel, lippenstift en gember te proeven. Leer hun typische gebruik plus diepgaande geschiedenis van uw Expert Gids. Ga op een mooie bank zitten om tropisch seizoensfruit te proeven terwijl uw Expert Gids u vertelt over historische informatie van fruit. Koop wat verse kruiden rechtstreeks van de boerderij.

Very good tasting of the dishes cooked with their spices. Interesting and friendly visit. Thank you.
A family visit. The kids love it. Equipped with small buckets filled with carrots and salad, they can feed the animals on this farm. Well-kept enclosed, play areas and picnic tables. Various animals, hens, llamas, pigs, donkeys, birds... Perhaps a little more information about all the animals would be a plus.
This was a very informative and interactive tour. Our guide was great and encouraged us to smell, taste, and guess all the different spices and fruits we encountered! Photos were encouraged and some of the staff even wove us some beautiful items from palm leaves. It was interesting to see where so many of the spices we know actually come from. After our tour, we sat down with our guide to a traditional Swahili lunch cooked with fresh spices that we saw on the tour. Everything was incredible! We were also able to purchase perfumes, lotions, soaps, and cooking spices from the stands at the farm.
Interesting and educational in regards to the spices of Zanzibar but do be aware they only want your money. Felt very ripped off on this trip
It was great to see all the various spices being grown on the farm. Also the guy a climbing the coconut tree was amazing. Crowning ceremony was a bit of fun at the end too. The guide was very informative & the driver was also good.
A half day walking tour (city tour) it will make tourist to enjoy the historical city which based on in Stone Town Zanzibar
Interesting to see the spice plants and what their fruits are like. But the prices of the spice, perfume and soap bags they sell there are 7 times those of Stone Town Market, with the same bags, labels and formats. That’s why tours usually put your visit to the spice farm first, to make you shop there without knowing the real prices. Or, if you go to Stone Town first, they tell you the quality is better at the spice farm. The case is to deceive the tourist.
