Our tour guide Antonio was amazing!! There were 5 of us and the van was very comfortable. His English is excellent, we had a very relaxing morning, Antonio provided lovely cool water and apples..these were very much appreciated. We will definitely be booking again. Antonio is a great guide! He is very knowledgeable about the castles and without him we would have been lost! He went out of his way to make sure we had the best day possible and is very friendly and easy to talk to. He gave us lots of recommendations for our trip and we are grateful for having took his tour.

Antonio was amazing! My husband and I were exhausted from an overnight flight, but his knowledge and enthusiasm for the area made our day. He picked us up at our hotel as planned. Lovely drive, wonderful sights and plenty of history behind each place we visited. Also, he takes beautiful photos, which he shared with us after our tour. It is always a must for travelers to visit Pena Palace during their trip to Lisbon. There is no exception for me. Yet, I was traveling with my grandma so I was very confused about how to travel there from downtown Lisbon. Fortunately, I was able to join a private tour with Antonio. He picked us up at our hotel in the morning and drove us to the Pena Palace. On our way up to the palace, Antonio explained the history of Sintra and that in the past, Sintra was actually the center of Portugal. It was very interesting to hear his detailed explanation of the area. More than that, he provided a unique perspective on how to appreciate the beauty of the Palace. He turned our attention to the tiles and the symbols in the cement that we were able to admire the wisdom and authenticity of Portuguese. This is something only insiders know and add depth to our trip. Most importantly, we were given plenty of time to visit the souvenir shop and downtown Sintra so that my grandma can enjoy the trip without rushing. He brought us to the west end of Europe to explore the stunning shoreline. The trip ended with a car visit to Cascais which is a gorgeous town that I will definitely visit next time in Portugal. If you want to have a meaningful and memorable trip in Sintra, I would absolutely recommend you to join Antonio, to understand the true beauty of Portugal.

Before booking the tour with Antonio, we were stressing out on how to tackle the hills of Sintra with a 4-year-old and a 1-year-old. This was absolutely the best way to experience Sintra, Pena Palace, Cabo da Roca and Cascais with small kids and I would also recommend Antonio’s private tour for a more stress-free experience on an adult trip as well, partly because his experience and chauffeuring allows the guests to be at Pena Palace before the crowds which makes the tour a lot more enjoyable. With small kids it was really nice not having to carry a stroller in public transport, and because Antonio can provide a baby seat and/or a booster seat the ride is safer than a taxi/Uber/Bolt. And once you get to your destination, Antonio’s vast history knowledge pays off as he’s a really good tour guide. After Pena Palace and Sintra we also saw Cabo da Roca and Cascais. The day was perfectly paced for us and Antonio was really good in adapting to any wishes we had.
