Bij Swayambhunath Gids we je door een van Nepal’s heiligste en visueel meest opvallende erfgoedlocaties. Je stijgt naar de stoepa op de heuveltop, waar een prachtig uitzicht op de Kathmandu-vallei, wapperende gebedsvlaggen en de energie van lokale toegewijden een onvergetelijke sfeer creëren. Kathmandu Durbar Square ligt in het hart van de stad en staat op de Werelderfgoedlijst van UNESCO. Het staat bekend om zijn oude paleizen, tempels en traditionele Newari-architectuur. The tour was paced comfortably for me. The guide was knowledgeable, attentive explaining and answering all questions. He also drew my attention to activities that I might not have normally noticed.
We had a truly pleasant time with Ms. Pipala. Her explanations were detailed and insightful, and we learned so much about Nepal and its history. She shared her knowledge in such an engaging and heartfelt way that it felt like we were exploring with a long-lost friend rather than just a guide. The tour itself was perfectly paced—never rushed and always attentive to our comfort. She thoughtfully followed our pace and made sure we fully enjoyed each moment. It was a wonderful experience, and we’re very grateful for her guidance. The driver also waited for us and dropped us off at the airport right on time for check-in, ensuring everything went smoothly. I met the tour operator owner, the driver and guide all at my hotel lobby at the appointed time, which gave a solo female traveler confidence that I was in good hands. Manesh the guide was a font of knowledge and used the driving time to fill me in on the history and significance of what we were about to visit. He gave me lots of space to pause wherever I wished and take photos before resuming his very detailed explanations of the places and things we were seeing. The car was new, clean and comfortable. The whole experience was perfect. I highly recommend this tour operator especially if you are traveling alone.

Temples are all amazing, and what makes me goosebumps is when i visited the shree pashupatinath seeing the open cremation. All of this because we had a great tour guide🙏❤️

It was amazing to see the main sights in Kathmandu with Kunjan. He picked us up promptly in a very comfortable car for sightseeing. He expertly drove us around the city and this isn't easy at times and took us to the main sights. He speaks great English so can communicate well and explain what you are going to see, what the admission charges are and he also made recommendations where to eat. He was more than willing to arrange a guide for the tour but it's also possible to pick up guides at various sights for around 10 USD. That way you can make the decision yourself if you want to be guided or wander at your leisure. We didn't have to agree pickup times since I could message him and he was always nearby ready to pick us up and take us to the next sight or back to the hotel. I can wholeheartedly recommend this tour and you'll be in safe hands and well looked after by Kunjan and his company who will put you at ease and make you feel very welcome in Nepal.
