Duik in de dagelijkse ritmes van het Thaise leven op de iconische drijvende markt Damnoen Saduak, waar lokale tradities samensmelten met handel op rustige wateren. Dompel jezelf onder in de levendige ambiance van de spoorwegmarkt en ervaar met eigen ogen de levendige energie terwijl de lokale bevolking hun benodigdheden koopt. Glijd over de waterwegen tijdens een schilderachtige boottocht en wandel rustig door deze bruisende markten, terwijl je de bezienswaardigheden en geluiden in je opneemt.

Ophalen bij hotel en reizen naar de Maeklong-markt.
Het witachtige zoutveld, geen rijstveld natuurlijk. Een speciale bonustour voor onze gasten die deelnemen aan onze drijvende en spoorwegmarkttour in 2020. Dit zeezout wordt geproduceerd door Thaise lokale wijsheid. De zoutboer zal het zeewater in verschillende niveaus laten roteren, passend bij de kracht van wind en zonlicht. De rotatie zal doorgaan totdat het zout een ‘zoutberg’ wordt die klaar is voor koken, huidverzorging en landbouw. Op Highway 35 in de provincie Samut Sakhorn zal onze gids je begeleiden om het zout in je hand te wrijven en geweldige foto's te maken!
De spoorwegmarkt wordt humoristisch de ‘levensgevaarlijke’ markt genoemd! Je zult veel plezier beleven aan het rijden met een lokale trein richting het Mae Klong-station. Terwijl u in deze trein zit, ziet u de ervaring "Unseen-Thailand". Wanneer het treinsignaal klinkt, ontstaat er chaos! Verkopers zullen zich haasten om hun kraampje af te breken en alle goederen op te ruimen die de rijdende trein met grote snelheid hinderen. Zodra de trein voorbij is, zullen alle winkeleigenaren hun kraampjes weer hervatten.
Je zult zien hoe Thaise boeren kokosnectar en palmsuikerbrood produceren. Je zult een demonstratie zien van het snijden van kokosbloemen, het gieten van de nectar in een bamboecontainer, het plaatsen van conserveringshout in de container, het koken en pasteuriseren van de kokosnectar in de drinkbare container. Je probeert kokosmelk uit de kokosnoot te persen met behulp van een traditionele Thaise houten machine met "konijnentanden".

This was a 6.5 hour tour of which 4.5 hours were travel. Not as advertised one hour! First we drove in a van to RR station, then 1 he train ride to RR market. Followed by 20 min ride to pier then after flaring market, 2 hours in van back to Bangkok. The guide was essentially a babysitter. There was zero commentary about each destination. She didn’t even inquire about bathroom needs during long duration. I finally asked and there was a sketchy option. I had asked in advance for a little much stop. However, since the floating market closed at 1 pm, her offer of a much later look much was rejected. There was no time to shop, and during this long day, we even had to skip the salt farm and coconut farms to see a glimpse of the major destinations. Yes, the RR market and floating market was interesting. But I never would have booked this tour realizing how much was travel and how little was tourism.

Floating market and railroad tours was fantastic! We were picked up from our hotel on time and the driver Kevin navigated traffic like champ throughout the tour. Lin is truly an asset to Viator. She broke down what we should expect at the Mao Klong train market and then the floating market. She is an expert with moving us through the markets. She was our personal photographer as well. All the places that we went are awesome. Loved the rail trip and the market with the train passing between the stores. The sugar coconut farm was incredible also. The boat very nice the only thing the government must clean better the canals.

We had an amazing experience with this tour. First of all, our Tour guide Jim is so knowledgeable, nice and hospitable person. She’s our tour guide and also has great photography skills - takes amazing instagrammable photos along the tour. What I like about this tour is that they don’t just drop you off to the destination, they actually plan to make it a more wonderful experience by having you ride a 30-min train to reach the railway market, and having you take a boat from a village to the floating market. That in itself an amazing and memorable experience. Our amazing driver Lucky waiting to pick us up from one spot after another with cold water and refreshing towels to help us after finishing exploring the destinations. Both Jim and Lucky are incredible at what they do, I felt that we were taken good care of during the whole duration of the trip, and were thinking of how they can make the whole trip comfortable and fun. Poppy is as amazing. Knowledgeable, flexible, and helpful. She knew we wanted a more local experience so she took an alternate path back to our hotel so we could experience more local Thai culture. The floating market was a bit of a disappointment, with mire souvenirs than food products as we expected but the overall trip was well worth it.
