We nemen de metro vanaf het dichtstbijzijnde station naar uw hotel om de Meiji-schrijn te bereiken. Dit heiligdom, voltooid in 1920, is een eerbetoon aan keizer Meiji, een sleutelfiguur in het moderne Japan in de 19e eeuw. Geniet van een ontspannen wandeling door de serene bosrijke omgeving en waardeer de kenmerkende architectuur in Shinto-stijl.
De reis van Meiji Shrine naar Shibuya Station is kort en duurt slechts een paar minuten. Het station ligt in het hart van Shibuya City, een van de 23 afdelingen in de metropool Tokio, en staat bekend om zijn iconische zebrapad. Net buiten Shibuya Station heb je de mogelijkheid om een foto te maken van het wereldberoemde Hachiko-hondenmonument!
De Tokyo Tower, gebouwd in 1958, had ooit de titel van 's werelds hoogste bouwwerk. Met een hogesnelheidslift gaan we naar een observatiedek, gelegen op een hoogte van 150 meter. Geniet vanaf het hoofddek van een adembenemend panorama van Tokio met de opmerkelijke uitzichten van de stad.
Hoewel de Tsukiji Fish Market voor groothandel in 2018 naar Toyosu werd verplaatst, blijft de Tsukiji "Outer Market" op dezelfde plek. Het trekt altijd veel internationale toeristen die op zoek zijn naar verse zeevruchten en sushi. Hier kunt u een lunchpauze houden. Uw gids stelt u de beste plek voor de lunch voor.
Voor een voorproefje van het traditionele Japan is Asakusa de ideale bestemming. Deze levendige en bruisende stad bruist van winkels die gespecialiseerd zijn in traditionele ambachten, souvenirs, straatvoedsel en meer. Dompel jezelf onder in de levendige sfeer terwijl je het rijke culturele aanbod van Asakusa verkent.
Sensoji Tempel is een van de oudste en grootste boeddhistische tempels in Tokio, met een geschiedenis die teruggaat tot de oprichting in 628. Deze iconische tempel heeft een rijke culturele en historische betekenis, waardoor het een must-visit is voor diegenen die geïnteresseerd zijn in het verkennen van de spirituele en traditionele aspecten van Tokio. Je Gids brengt je na een bezoek aan de tempel met de metro terug naar je hotel.

U wordt bij uw hotel opgehaald door een gids. Laat het ons weten als uw hotel zich buiten ons aangegeven bereik bevindt. Openbaar vervoer, zoals de metro of JR-trein, wordt vanaf het dichtstbijzijnde station gebruikt om de eerste bestemming te bereiken.

- Tijdens de tour wordt er veel buiten gewandeld. Wij raden u aan sneakers of comfortabele schoenen te dragen.
- Zorg voor regenkleding, zoals een paraplu of een regenjas, voor geval van slecht weer.
- Als uw hotel zich buiten ons aangewezen ophaalbereik bevindt en alternatief vervoer, zoals een metro, niet haalbaar is, zijn gasten verantwoordelijk voor het betalen van het tarief. Dit omvat de kosten voor zowel het vervoer van de gids naar de eerste bestemming als van de laatste bestemming terug naar uw hotel.

Asako was our guide. She was and excellent guide. I would highly recommend her. Asako was very patient. Aside from our scheduled itinerary, she found out our interests and made some detours if time allowed. I will definitely request Asako should I decide on another Tokyo tour.

We really enjoyed the private tour with our host. The hotel meeting point was well organised, and our tour guide gave a summary of the day before heading off. In the 5+ hours we did visit all the locations, but importantly the tour guide gave tips along the way. Even showed us how to buy train tickets via the machines. It was a great way to see parts of Tokyo that we may not have considered. Thank you
